This is the best chwee kueh ever. Chwee kueh is a saucer-sized rice cake that is steamed, and topped with preserved radish and fragrant chilli. At this fantabulous stall, the texture of the kueh is smooth, and the preserved radish is just right - just the right amount of oily and not too sweet or salty. It is eaten best with the chilli. The chwee kuehs are sold at 4 pieces for a dollar (SGD), 6 for 1.5, and 8 for 2. Very affordable delicacy.

The aunties at this stall are friendly and efficient! Their chwee kuey is huge (50% larger than the normal ones) and they give a generous portion of chai por! People with strong taste bud and who love their chwee kuey to be smooth, soft and 'silky' (oily) will love their chwee kuey! For takeaway, you can pay $0.30 for disposal containers to have the chai por and chwee kuey packed separately.

Soft and chewy, and nice cai po. Came back once a blue moon and quality still as good!

Famous Teochew style Chwee Kueh served with their own special Chai Poh (preserved radish). Their Chwee Kueh is larger in size, bigger then the normal ones you can find at other stalls. It has a smooth texture, almost jelly like, but still firm enough to keep the oval shape. It has a mild sweet aftertaste when you eat it plain. The Chai Poh is really good, it is crunchy, salty and aromatic, which packed a punch when you eat it together with the Chwee Kueh and do remember to add their homemade chilli too. The combination of these 3, was perfect. Most importantly, it is also affordable too, 4 large pieces of Chwee Kueh costs only $2.

Over the years, Bedok chwee kueh has drastically dropped in standards especially after they switched to the larger chwee kueh. The radish was just mainly salty but lacking in flavour and even had a sourish aftertaste. The chwee kueh itself was plain and lifeless. Better off having Jian Bo at Tiong Bahru.

Excellent Chwee Kueh. They are larger than their compatriots. Very soft and flavourful. The preserved radish is slightly sweeter than salty. Chili complements well. 4 for $2. The old lady is friendly too.
