Still good after more than 20 years, after so many rounds of renovation. Superb wok hei and quality of sotong and prawns. Solid. This is the $5 portion. Also notorious for the fierce auntie manning the stall. The wait during peak hours can be crazy (more than an hour). Best to go arnd 4pm and have Cheng tng to go along with the oily hkm. Still decent after all these years but the wait is sometimes too long. Edit on November 2021: owner has changed.

I was sceptical when was told it’s a halal stall. Cos Hokkien prawn noodle is a dish associate with pork lard oil and the crispy pork lard. But surprisingly it’s good especially with e super shiokk sambal belacan! It’s a perfect combination! With a very distinctive taste of belacan and lime zest taste in it. Plus it was dabao from East to North all the way …the noodle wasn’t soggy or dried up. Recommended ! The portion was a bit small for a price of $6.50 Which maybe good for lady but not the guy ?

4+ stars. Owner has handed down and halal squid and prawn hokkien mee is still 1 of the best around. Food quality: + Wet Hokkien mee but noodles are springy and not soggy. Very flavourful taste though many have commented wok hei taste has been diluted. + Sambal chilli goes very well and is just a little spicy. Food portion / Price: - Portions are definitely a bit small and start from $4.5. + Yet to try opeh leaf version but I imagine it’ll be even better and for sharing. Service: Pay upon ordering, get buzzer which will ring Crowd: Expect some wait time even when there’s no visible queue. 15 min wait at 1+pm on Monday, expect even longer wait time during dinner time! Payment: Sg QR apps accepted.

It was my favourite Hokkien mee for more than 10 years, introducing my wife, buddies and anyone who needs a recommended Hokkien Mee. It's no longer the same noodle after the new owners took over in late 2021. The new style looks similar but tastes awkwardly different.

45 seconds. That's all it took for the chef to start frying from the cold wok using pre-cooked noodles stashed away in a metal bowl from god knows how long. Basically his job is just to turn on the fire, dump in the pre-cooked dried and limp noodles on the cold wok (dont even need to wait for it to get hot). Add some water/stock onto the half warmed wok and serve you a barely warm noodles look limp.( he dont even need to cover and wait for the broth to soak up). He is simply heating up the precooked limp noodles but even that, he can't be bothered to add pride in the effort. Taste alright but however don't taste fresh since its precooked. If you are ordering, dont need to take the pager because its a 45 seconds noodles. Not coming back again.

1st time having halal hokkien mee in my favourite wet style. Very tasty and shiok with the samba chilli. For those who like spicy can mix all into it.

Halal certified. No pork no lard. Still tasty and moist hokkien mee. Served with a generous scoop of sambal balachan at the side and cut limes for extra flavoring.

Used to be an old Chinese lady but now is a young man and a Muslim lady. Taste wise is fine. But quantity too little. I paid the 6.50 plate and now only 40 percent full. Prices start at 4.50 to 10.50. I will not revisit again unless no choice.
