★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another stall in the east that serves fantastic prawn noodle. They served the soup version in the morning and the fried hokkien noodle at night. Price for the prawn noodle starts from SGD$3.50 onwards.
Standard bowl of noodle are served with prawns and sliced lean pork. Broth is pretty robust which suits me alot. portion is pretty generous for the smallest portion. I have also tried the fried version, but still prefers the soup version.
Overall, a pretty decent bowl of prawn noodle that is worth trying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the times this prawn noodles really loose all of their taste... Noodles come in $3.50 onwards but really bland in taste... No prawn aroma in the soup... There are really good prawn noodles around so really no point to Q for this... Guess is for those nostalgia folks that want to have those nostalgic feeling, as for the rest of us, totally stay away as far as possible...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the mid size one for $4. Small is $3.50 & large is $5.
Hawker had relocated to this unit. And TBH the nay reviews were probably during their early start.
The stock was decently flavoured & noodles both the yellow one & bee-hoo (rice) thin noodles were plentiful. Portions of slice pork and prawn (shrimp) was decent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Still located at blk16 but stall has relocated to unit 01-04. Still my favorite hokkien mee since the 80s when i was staying at blk2. $4 give you 5 prawns which is still value for money. I like fri3d hokkien mee that uses the thin beehoon and this is one stall that still kept to using it. Generous with pork lard. Recommeded

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sometimes the soup is ok, sometimes it’s diluted.
But the biggest issue is their ‘regulars’ who JUMP queue; not just the older folks but younger folks too. Biggest pet peeve is people just jumping queue. Why!?
Why can’t there be a fair system of queuing.
Will avoid this shop if possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giant bowl of dry prawn noodle for $4! Loaded with prawns! Broth or soup was delicious and flavourful. However, dry noodle did not have enough pork lard. Still a decent bowl though. Worth a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the price of $4, I’d say the portion was very generous for a hokkien mee.
However, noodles were over cooked hence soggy and mushy. I suspect these were precooked in its broth and left to idle, only to reheat upon order.
Between having more to eat but lower food quality, against reasonable quantity but high food quality, most people would opt for the latter I guess.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A neighborhood-friendly stall that serves nolstagic prawn noodles in the morning and fried prawn noodles in the evening.
This stall serves a bowl as affordable as $3.50 for the small, which is a reasonable portion, up to $5 for the large for the extremely hungry folks. I patronize this stall during brunch time around 11 and got both the small and large, dry + chilli version. Soup, as you can see here is rich and consists of a combination of flavors starting with the sweet broth from cooking the thin pork slices (like bar chor mee), fragrance from the fried shallots and packing these with concentrated umami flavor. However, my second refill and was a little disappointed due to the inconsistent flavor in the soup.
The sauce mix is optimum with a special mention on the chilli (though a bit heavy-handed). Portion is generous especially with the prawns but what this bowl lacks is the pork lard and kangkong.
Queue was short but waiting time is longer than expected. Apparently it seems that "regulars" somehow gets concessions with "priority orders" without the need to queue.
Overall, I would still return if I'm in the vicinity and/or if time is not a concern due it's value-for-money offerings, the nolstagic flavor and friendly stall owners.
