★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be very careful with this stall if you order through GrabFood. They made mistakes in the order but do not want to take responsibility in rectifying the order and still have the audacity to ask customer to go and collect at their stall if we want an exchange. Claimed it is a problem between Grab and customer despite their very own fault. Very rude stall owner and assistants!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good. Sometimes a little inconsistent. But generally good and pretty cheap. Gone back there again and again. The lady doesn't have the best of attitude, it's just a China thing, look past that and the food is good, just don't go when they are rushing to cook due to the crowd, when it's not crowded the food generally tastes better.
HINT: For mala, the more ingredients, the higher you increase the spice, else it will be bland
because they don't add more seasoning based on the ingredients from my experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was wondering this store seem to be "business non stop" at 16 bedok south road... Not like they have a long Q Infront of the store but people come n go "non stop", so decided to give it a try... Not that the fish is no goods, it fresh, n a very reasonable "size" at $25.00 per Fish that comes with two choice of vegetables. Rice at 50cents per bowl. The store do offer others variety like prawn/ chicken/ beef at around $18.00.... but the fish "soup base" is really oily, I don't know how to appreciate it... It don't seem very "healthy" thou... Will not try again...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw bad reviews which were wrongly added to this store in Bedok South. This is not the store at the food centre next to the Bedok Mall with long queues or yellow boxes.
Liked ? the sour vegetable soup base with two ingredients included in the $25 price. The grilled ? is good for 2-3 pax. We ordered a separate mala xiang guo to supplement the meal. We enjoyed the taste and good price. Friendly owners too. Won't try the other soup bases.
I think you need to understand that they put some fried pork lard in the soup base so you may need to ask for less oil if you want. Mala xiangguo is just like char kway teow, it's not meant to be healthy choice so I do not give it a low score for that.
