The ambience of the store is incredible, going along with the beautiful collection of guitars, but all of that cannot compare to the world class service provided. Godfrey is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this place enough if you love guitars.

Awesome store, awesome culture and awesome service. Hours just fly by in this guitar heaven. Godfrey is such an amazing proprietor and a great guitarist too. Ask him any questions and he will be most willing to answer them and to help you with your guitar needs. Yes the guitars are good and they sound lovely, but for me, it is the personal service of Godfrey that won me over. This will be my go to for all my future guitar needs

Bernard Godfrey hits all the right notes. More a destination than a shop, I was treated to the best buying experience, 'barre' none. Surath was the perfect host. From answering all queries to visiting the showroom to try a selection of guitars - personally picked based on my preference - everything was seamless and impeccable. No hustle, no bustle. A welcome departure from the din and drama of guitar shops, you get the luxury of a quiet (and private) space to try, feel and truly listen to some of the best guitars in the world from Furch, Taylor, McPherson, Lowden, Martin and more. Bernard Godfrey is guitar heaven on earth. The entire experience was so delightful that I can almost ignore the gaping Martin-shaped hole in my wallet. Bravo!

Excellent service all round. Tailored experience from booking your appointment to after sales services. I went with 2 of my friends and we ended up buying two guitars. Surath handpicked four guitars for us to try besides having an array of guitars at the back of the room which was available for us to try. There was no pressure on us to make any purchase and Surath even gave us a demonstration of the strengths and characteristics of the guitars. We spent time to try the guitars being plugged in and also unplugged and had room for ourselves to discuss and make our own decisions. We are also welcomed back anytime for dehumidifying services. I would certainly say it's worth buying from Bernard Godfrey Guitars. The Furch I got is a master build and I just love the sound of it. Btw this is my second time here, my previous visit was when they were in bukit timah and it's been many years since but Surath's service hasn't changed one bit and is as excellent as ever.

I’m glad that I had went to the right place to get my acoustic guitar. Surath was incredible friendly and helpful, knowing that I’m a beginner after I had mentioned it, he had shared much on what to expect, care tips, playing style etc. I looked up on a particular Furch model, Surath is not just another retail sales person, rather a passionate musician who knows the guitar well and explained the technical part of the build. Did I just mentioned I’m a beginner? Surath was sensitive enough to understand that I needed some private moment to test out the model in my own terms and return later to fill me up with answers. Totally stress free experience. Coming to payment on the guitar that I chose, some blunder mistake on my end for digital payment issue, Surath waited patiently beside me, not on the green lights for transaction but rather offering help to ease my embarrassment. Ha. Will I be back for 2nd guitar in future? Yes. Will I be recommending my friends to this cozy store? Of course!
