★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No idea why people are giving low ratings to a recently renovated coffee shop just because there are crowds. I mean, isn't it common for people to check out new places? Or maybe don't visit during peak hours so there wouldn't be crowds?
(That said, rant aside for those silly reviews)
So far I've tried 3 stalls
The chicken rice stall was disappointing. For a $6 order, the portion felt kinda little for me, and the meat wasn't tasty enough for my liking. I'd prefer the stall at Blk 155 instead.
HK Wanton Noodle was okay, but not really a fan of those ultra thin noodles. The wanton are kinda small but still good.
Cheong Fun was nice. Ordered twice for takeaway and I still loved it. Hoping to try them at the coffee shop when the situation improves.

Cheong fun not silkly. Sauce watery and prawn taste weird (not fresh)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many good makan choices here, notably the famous Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee, which was what prompted me to walk 30 mins to this coffeeshop. The prawn mee soup was good too, as was the roti prata. There's a pretty decent Zi Char stall here too. Unfortunately the very popular Nasi Lemak was already sold out by the time I reached the place, at around 830pm.

Chef kin hk wanton noodles - 牛腩wanton noodles $5.50.. Taste not bad.. Portion a bit small..
Chef wei hk cheong fun - 虾cheong fun.. Good portion.. Prawn fresh.. Cheong fun smooth.. Comparable to the one at cck blk 216 coffee shop..
Nam sing hokkien mee - not sure why.. But i still prefer the one at old airport road.. (Drier version)
