The man running the business damaged the poster that we gave him for framing. We had had the poster custom made as a wedding gift and waited for it for 2 weeks. The manufacture and shipping of the poster cost us 150 SGD. It was a very sentimental and cherished piece. After he framed the poster for 42 SGD, we discovered that he had damaged it at various places. I called the shop for 4 days, 3 times a day, but the woman answering the call would always say that the owner wasn't in. I even gave her my number to notify me when he was in, but she never called me. On the fifth day, I simply dropped by. The man was in. When confronted he downplayed the damage to the poster. He later got angry that I had written a bad review on google and even threatened to smash the poster and call the police. We later agreed that he would reimburse 60 SGD and give us the damaged product. A good business would have offered to try and fix the damage as much as possible and offer us a fair reimbursement. If the business wants to reply to this review and solve the problem, I am happy to change my review to a better rating. But because of the damage done and the poor attitude of the shop owner, I don't see a reason to give a good rating. I'm just being honest.

Owner was down to earth , friendly and workmanship is reasonably good for the framing of my work. Price is also competitive. Have also reminded owner to take photos of customers' works before accepting jobs where possible. Empathise with him on cases of difficult customers.

FIts an interesting little gem tucked away in a row of neighbourhood shops! =) had 2 oil painting framed here! I feel like its a Singapore version of Ollivanders wands(Harry Potter), esp the moment when we saw the finished product! The old framer worked his magic on our paintings, by framing them perfectly! One of our pieces, a large impressionist one from Paris, had melted oil colours due to flight and temperature differences. The old framer took great care to gently remove it from its cardboard holder, and lovingly restored and reframed the piece, with very limited damage. Befitting to the character of old craftsmen, decor and marketing were not prioritised in this shop his workshop is tucked behind the grocery shop, with just a simple table and many many sample frames. However, you could see the pride this old craftsman have in his work, he even built most of the furniture in his shop(run by his wife and him)!! Our painting , framed, received many many compliments, due to his good eye for the frame and the beautiful 3d effect of the frames. Best part was we paid 20-40% of what was quoted by 2 upscale, well advertised framing galleries around town =) and turnaround time was 2 days.

Best framing shop in Jurong East. Reasonable price n friendly service. Uncle has 30 yrs experience. Really highly skills.
