Charged me $6.5 - grossly overpriced for mediocre and below average duck rice. Got my order wrong, bad attitude and even had to ask me calculate the cost of my meal for him. No basic arithmetic skills, poor customer service and low quality of food. Even after repeating myself 4 times he still could not get it right. Will never be back again, not worth it and world recommend anyone reading this review to not waste your time on this. ?

Great price and super tasty. I used to come here often when my office was nearby and it has been awhile since I returned. Not a big fan of offals so I normally go for the duck rice or kway chap but with duck meat. The soup tastes so heavenly! This place remains my favourite kway chap stall in Singapore

Decades ago Zion road food centre was a breakfast to lunch must go hub filled with many famous local eats from raw fish porridge, famous char kway teow to duck noodles. Until recent years, the usual lunch queues were always at the char kway teow, duck rice kway chap and prawn mee. While weekend dinner extend into late night drinking especially for cyclist whom love to cycle the park connector and stop for a beer. The last two years things changed drastically. First it started with a disappointing visit to the overly oily char kway teow. Next I encountered not so fresh prawns at the famed prawn noodle. This kway chap stall a decade back was hailed one of the best, spawning a copy cat 2 stalls down at the same location after they appeared on TV and more drama when they fight and went on the papers. Today during peak lunch hour, no queue, I gave it a last try and left disappointed. Kway Chap set $3.50, I asked to add duck meat and charged $6.50. Though the regular duck rice is only $3.50. Would I had better value just asked for a kway chap set and a duck rice? You bet. And since i asked to add duck meat, little did I expect braised pork, pork skins were removed from the kway chap set. What a rip off for an add on. Under my added duck meat, I got braised egg, taukwa and taupok plus some large intestines, which wasnt every well cleaned and taste of decomposed whatever the pig ate. The duck meat were tough, dry and tasteless. Kway bowl also bland and tasteless save the shallots. In all, for me, there's no reason to come to Zion road anymore.

Found the duck rice and kway chap to be average. The duck rice ($3.50) didn’t have much meat and the flavour of the herbal soup was not so pleasant. A lot of rice was given. There was a good portion of ingredients for the kway chap ($3.50 + $0.50 for kway). But the intestines had a bitter flavour and was not cleaned well.

Nice braised stock and not too salty. Soup base of kway is flavourful to my taste too. Kway chap set with added roasted pork cost only $6

Kway Chap with Braised Duck. Not my usual type of Teochew style kway chap. This one is served with thicker gravy on chunky pig offals. Recommended to include a side order of braised duck and don't forget to get your chili condiments!

Whenever I see a stall with the Michelin sign and various positive food reviews,I usually become quite excited and don’t mind queuing. I am not really a big kway chap fan, but this stall blew me away with the high quality braised duck and very delicate dougan (tofu). I also had the meicai (braised vegetable) with roast pork instead of braised pork. And to top it all - the fragrant yam rice. I saw how the food was painstakingly prepared (that explains the waiting time). Thank you for toiling to bring good food to the table.

The duck was ok, not too dry. Seemed like a big pile until we got to the bottom. Was bolstered with a pile of egg, tau kwa and tau pok. The herbal soup was tasty, but was served in a giant bowl, rather than individual bowls. Felt a bit awkward sharing soup like this, especially during a pandemic. The kway chup wasn't very good, the intestines had a strong odor and flavor, which suggests they were not cleaned properly. The rice was dry and hard, could have been bettered with some of the braise gravy. Price was quite reasonable for serving 4 persons. As expected for hawker center fare.
