Old school flavours with stringy noodles and good homemade wanton plus fried pork lard. So yums. The only slight dislike was the slighy alkaline taste of the noodles.

This would have been a 5 star wanton mee to me last time where it was almost impossible then to find a stall where they could execute well on all the three main components of the dish(noodle, wanton & char siew), the good ones are usually those where you enjoyed the noodle but had to live with the subpar ingredients. And it is with this stall, their noodle was good but the char siew forgettable and the wanton though sizable yet one dimensional in taste as it lacks both dice chestnut and prawn that would have provided crunchiness and flavour to the dumpling.

No queue ion a Sunday morning around 930am. A decent plate of wanton noodles. Small plate was filling for me. Came with 2 boiled wantons and 2 fried ones. I like the fried ones better. Soup was too peppery. The star is the springy noodles. Staff was friendly.

As a wanton noodle fan, I had to come after food king (and Daniel food diary's) review. Like the review, the colour of the sauce is misleading. It is not fiery red, but lightly coloured. Its punch comes I think from pepper - because this wanton noodle differs from the rest because of the pepperiness. There is a hint of old school flavour a la Kok Kee at Lavender. I would need to order a bowl without chilli to find out. The wantons are nice, the char siew normal. The noodles more of the HK style that's more springy less flour-y and more alkaline. Like what the other reviewers said - it is good, but not something I will travel all the way here for. And there are a few stalls at Zion Riverside hawker center I will come here specially for, so it is unlikely I will order their noodles again. Also - I think the price is a little too pricey. Compared to my favourites, this doesn't command the same price....

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonton noodles place with char siew. You can also get dumplings. And fried wonton. The noodles itself is the secret. Amazing. Will come back again.

A simple yet tasty plate of wanton noodles. Noodles are well cooked and texture are great. But, abit pity that the noodles still have a mild alkaline taste. The chilli sauce is good. Must ask to put abit more. Starting from $4.50, some may think its abit expensive, but the wanton size and the filling inside already worth the money spend. The thickness of the char siew is just nice. Really worth spending some time queuing for it.

I've ordered from this stall a number of times and their consistency is pretty good. The wantan is soft and char siew cutlets are juicy and tender. The noodles have a slight alkaline taste to it but it's not too bad. Best to eat with the green chilli if you want to mask it. Overall I still prefer the black sauce wan tan mee style but this is worth a try too if you're looking for other variations. The lady boss and her sons are friendly too. Thumbs up!
