Had our anniversary dinner here, and staff Aeron served us. He helped me keep the flowers I bought for my wife, and even gave us a complimentary scoop of ice cream served in a cute martini glass! Thank you so much Aeron!! The restaurant also served us a welcome gift of financiers, served with an awesome quenelle of a compound butter! Will come here again to try the other mains!

Visited last month and forgot to give a review. Basically very nice food and impeccable service. My wife who is a pescetarian doesn't have anything she like or could eat as the menu was changed recently. The chef was kind enough to whip up something for her without extra charge even though we were there on a lunch promotion. The food fusion was bold and interesting. The starters were nice but the star was the wagyu rump which was so tender that it melts oj the mouth.

This is recommended by my sis in law, she had a great dinning experience. We went there today without reservation and was greeted by the manager Alex, he still remembers my sis in law’s name and arranged a table for us. All the staff were super professional and attentive. Food was great, enjoyed every single bite. Will def recommend more friends to dine here, thank you Alex and the team! 3 pax $230

Came here for Restaurant Week 2022. Interior is really beautiful and great for photos. Welcome Snack - Financier with dried shrimps & Furikake butter, very very well made! Dried shrimps was a surprisingly paired perfectly and the butter was really delish. Foie Gras was OOS so was quite bummed about it.... Mussel Chowder - Thankfully the mussel chowder was really VERY DELICIOUS. 3 huge pieces of mussel, fresh and juicy. Staff pours the chowder infront of you to serve. Chowder was extremely flavourful, slightly salty. Roasted Cod was OOS..... very bummed about it.... Green Curry Barramundi - Fish was perfectly cooked. Skin is crispy. Herb Crusted Lamb Rack - Not a fan of this. The raspberry puree was quite sandy so the texture of the lamb with the raspberry tasted kinda off and weird. Wagyu Cheek Rendang - Do opt for this instead! Rendang was flavourful, tender and juicy. Purple potato chip is really good too, crispy & sweet. Mango Sticky Rice - The rice was actually sago! A great match with the sweet mango. But some parts of the sago was undercooked.. We also ordered 2 ala carte dishes: Crab Cornetto was disappointing, the wanton skin cornetto was kinda hard... and no wasabi taste as described. Black Truffle Arancini was also quite disappointing, it did look like black truffle so we thought the name of the dish just meant that it looked like black truffles. We asked the staff and was told there was truffle in it which we couldnt taste at all... Will recommend the financier, mussel chowder and wagyu cheek rendang if visiting!

Lunch at the Refectory is like stumbling into an unlikely treasure trove. Located irreverently in the industrial backwaters of Toa Payoh, the Refectory serves up surprisingly fine food at merciful prices. Menus are cheeky but well thought out, creatively executed with experience and finesse. Its all about a play on textures and flavours - twisting old favourites into familiar yet current delights. Service is warm and personal, helmed by Manager Alex who takes on customers' requests with gusto. Supported by Aaron, who we learn is new but lovely and happy to accommodate our little requests, our dining adventure today turned out to be a richly rewarding one.

Dining out with my former schoolmates for the first time since the pandemic started two years ago, we decided to check out this new eatery along Braddell Road. The Refectory’s ambiance was cosy and inviting, and the crew were very hospitable. We started with some lovely financier with handmade butter followed by appetizers; celeric soup, poach pear salad, a very creative β€œchicken rice”. For the mains, we had the delectable braised lamb shank and roasted red snapper. To wrap up a nice afternoon, we had coffee with yet another creative β€œblack forest” cake. The portions were generous and the service was impeccable. This venue consist of 3 separate concepts, the restaurant, a cafΓ© and a dining hall, special thanks to Wesley, who gave us a brief of the place after our meal. We’re all planning to come back to this restaurant with our families soon.

First visit to BRDL on the Easter eve evening to support our friends for their live band performance at the restaurant. Cosy ambience and friendly staff. Dishes are quite creative, well presented and taste nice. They have quite good variety of wine and cocktails. Prices are reasonable. Dessert wine has limited choices and you can request their bartender to customize dessert drinks for you to pair with the desserts. A good bar and makan venue for gathering. Better book in advance during rush hours dining.

The food here looks good and taste even better. Very interesting combinations of ingredients used. One with the cucumber sorbet which was refreshingly yummy! It's a great idea to have a restaurant bar in the neighbourhood. Kinda posh but not over the top, still with chill, casual vibes. Love the open space, high ceilings and lights. Staff is attentive too. Thanks for a great meal! Cocktails are alright, a little light in the alcohol.
