★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nonsense. During covid, we were made to book slots for swimming. Slots are not easy to come, neither is it easy to get even for swimming lessons.
Now, when we are successful in getting slots. They tell us that the training pools are booked throughout november.
Meaning that my 5 year old can only swim in the deep pool.
Reason being MOE has booked the pool and they cannot do anything about it.
Does this sound like an abuse of power above public use of facilities?
Maybe they should consider changing it to a private pool instead?
You know what would be easier?
Inform us of this when booking slots. Tell us the pool now is subjected to exclusive use only.
Segregating a small part of the pool areas for walk in public use.
But, it seems this option is rocket science.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My children are learning swimming at this particular swimming pool located at Bukit Batok. There are some parking lots outside the swimming pool but can be filled up quite quickly. Alternative parking is located further down near to the hdb flats.
This is a typical hdb swimming pool in Singapore, with three pools which is pretty standard. There are maybe only 5-6 loungers at the deep if you are looking at sun tanning. Thus the loungers can be taken up really fast.
There’s like a play pool for the kids which my children love to play before or after their swimming lessons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a public swimming pool, it's the right size. 1 training pool, kids paddle pool and 1 competition pool. Just as other swimming complex, it equipped with lightning alert system, life guard and in-house swim coaches. It opens as early as 6am every Tuesday and Thursday. And every Monday and Friday there are aqua-aerobic at night. The complex also come with gymnastic for kids and dance studio.

I feel good buoyancy in the main pool. Slightly deeper water?
The training pool is large but irregularly shaped.
The children's pool has sprays n slides. They will turn them on when kids are present.
The shower stalls are well maintained.
The staff are friendly.
Closed Wednesday mornings for cleaning.
