β β β β β Reaching BTNR is easy from MRT station DT5 to Hindhede entrance, or DT3 DairyFarm entrance.
Once in the forest, even on sunny days, the walk through canopy covered trail is pleasantly cool.
All the trails are good for rainy day treks and BTNR is dotted with rest huts, good for shelter should rain gets too heavy.

β β β β β Bukit Timah Nature reserve is a great place for trekking! It might be tiring going on the summit but it was really an enjoyable journey! Thereβs a nice view on the way with variety shapes of leaves for trekkers go explore nature. There are also shelters for us to rest and a great view at the catchment. There were also many paths for us to explore. I even went around there and at the visitor center, there is a 3D view of the entire Bukit Timah nature reserve. 5 stars

β β β β β Steep moderate climb to summit... Although shortcut stairs near to top are killer, avoid if possible... However well worth the journey using the road... Many Monkeys playing in the trees above at the radio tower.

β β β β β I had a great hike. Thanks to the MRT, I was able to take a train to Beautyworld station, followed by a short 7mins walk to the location. The hardest part was the starting portion where the path forward was a very steep upward slope. Once you conquer that, the rest of the hike was very manageable.
Pay attention to the sudden sightings of the monitor lizards and wild mushrooms!

β β β β β The highest natural peak one can go in Singapore. Nice climb up with various route options, slope or stairs and even a track for mountain bikers. Toilet and water coolers at the foot of the hill for stock up before and replenish after. A few huts with benches also allow rest points along the way. However the peak is a little underwhelming, can consider building a viewing gallery for people to see the view from up there and also more sheds at the summit would be great as it can get crowded. Also parking space is very limited, so be prepared to wait for parking if youβre driving there. Overall, still a nice mildly challenging climb, suitable even for elderly and young children ??

β β β β β I took public transport from downtown to come to this hiking trail. It was a nice trail, easy-medium level. I saw a lot of monkeys on the way back. Only few people were doing this hike on a weekday.

β β β β β Bukit Timah Nature Resserve is a great nature treasure well preserved for posterity. Great place to exercise amidst nature. ??.
If you are lucky, you get to see exotic birds , the monitor lizards and of course chicken running around in the jungle.
Before you start your hike, kindly ensure that you are well hydrated and have used the restroom if necessary. Once you are on your way up, you won't find water until you return to base station.
The steep slope UP ?β¬οΈ can be a bit of a challenge if you are not fit and so are the stairs for those who are not used to rigours of a climb.
What i did not like about this place was the tarred road going up/ down was and is not well maintained ??. It was easy to trip / sprain your ankle unless you were careful. In addition there are dry leaves and it could potentially lead to a skidding misadventure. I really wish the tarred areas are well maintained and the dry leaves are cleared in time.
Just as much as I love this wonderful Nature Reserve, I also hope that the tarred road up/ down is well maintained, in addition to clearing of the dried leaves.

β β β β β Nice to find shady trails with some elevation. It's difference vibes compared to my other favorite trails in East Coast Park, it's much more woodsy here and climbing to the summit provides up and down trails.
While I was planning to continue to Dairy Farm Nature Park after the Summit, that was not possible as the trail to the Dairy Farm is closed (both upper and lower loop trails). Within The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, a large portion of Jungle Fall Path is also closed off for maintenance. See photos posted for closure details.
I opted to detour through South View Path on the way to the Summit and was rewarded with quieter trail, albeits lots of staircase up and down. Also, took the staircase to the Summit instead of winding through the main trail. It's steep but thankfully shorter distance.
Took the main trail down to the park exit - after a detour due to closure of Dairy Farm Loop and Jungle Fall Path trails.
It's one of my favorite trails - shady trails and lots of birds and large trees.
PS: The visitor centre is just OK but the vending machines sell a good selection of cold drinks.
