B	Bendy Chua on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a weekday lunch, needed to queue (leave number and they'll call you). Best thing about this place, the service staff are really friendly! The staff at the cashier was super patient and nice as I fumbled through the menu and payment. ^o^ Ordered the salmon eggs benedict and truffle mushroom pasta. They were just nice, not too overpowering, and not too bland. Pretty humble. Really enjoyed the coffee too. Ordered an iced latte (replaced with oat milk) for myself, it was not too sweet nor bitter. Would recommend to visit! Would give 4.5 stars.
W	WL Ang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Egg Benedict was alright although kids did not like the alfalfa. For the price they charge for the French toast, I had greater expectations in the both quality and quantity of fruits. The decor of the place is quite interesting.
a	aLly fOo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our first visit here. We came here on a Monday so it's not too crowded. But it is still full house. Their coffee, food and pastries are all very yummy. I tried their basil pesto pasta (vegetarian) and surprisingly, it is quite delicious. The Nippon Trio cake is nice and not too sweet. Love to come back here again.

Coffee here is always consistent and done with pride. Desserts (croissants, tarts, cakes etc) are consistently good although rather pricey and a lovely combination with their coffee. If you want a quality coffee and yummy desserts, then Carpenter and Cook is your place. 4/5
D	David Poon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe is beautifully decorated with all sorts of old furniture from school desks and chairs to church pews to pots and pans from an era past. Sitting here while enjoying a very well prepared coffee and cakes brings you back to your youthful schooldays when life was simpler and curiosity was still a thing before the dawn of the internet. Come here with friends and share about your beginnings. The chairs are uncomfortable but the conversations will make you forget.

The crust of tart is pretty good and fresh. I love the texture so much, not soft and cookies crunchy taste. I hope I can have the crust only! Cafe price. Iced latte is below average as hardly can taste the coffee and not cold enough (slightly cold than room temperature only).

The only thing unique in that dish was actually the nice bread. Lady owner/chef noticed butter was not served & promptly gave us a packet. Kudos to the service attention. Latte & cappuccino was not bad.

Liked the interior decor of the cafe, with a lot of antique collectibles. A nice place to chill with food and drinks. Next was the pastries. Looked really good but we got limited space to try. Ordered quite a few and were impressed by it. Thought the lemon meringue cake would be heavy but it wasn't. The lemon drizzle loaf tasted so good after they heated it up and served it to us. The pear tart was a delightful surprise as well. Everything we tried was good, wanted to try some chocolate ones but totally no more space for it. Recommended to visit.
