Dim Sum set menu for lunch at Cassia at Capella Hotel and Resort was phenomenal! . With interiors designed by AndrΓ© Fu and inspired by the historic spice routes of Southern and Western China, Cassia is a contemporary Chinese restaurant in Sentosa, serving unexpected twists on traditional Cantonese dishes. Based on the best regional recipes and using the finest seasonal ingredients, the menu celebrates the contrast and combination of flavour. . First we had the #dimsum platter with #siumai with #abalone , then that deep-fried Vietnamese roll was crispy to the core! My favourite was of course the steamed charcoal powder bun with BBQ pork and, yes, you heard me right, #blacktruffles . Total of 5 courses including dessert, and that seafood crystal noodles towards the end of the meal was super satisfying and filling! It will make you want to have more! . ‼️PRO TIP: Dress well for lunch! The labyrinth of gardens around the restaurant will make you want to take lots of photos before or after your meal. . βœ… FUN FACT: There are many fun exhibitions around the hotel complex, feel free to roam around after your lunch to check out the beautiful paintings and artwork.

Excellent food and very good, attentive service in an understated, elegant and peaceful setting. The set lunch might look a trifle lean on paper but turned out to be a little feast. Every item was delicious and presented and served impeccably. Wonderful experience. We would like to thank both the chef and servers for making our day!

Truly disappointing dining experience for dinner and breakfast on our second visit here. We checked in at Capella at noon and asked reception to get us a dinner table at 7pm which was happily accepted by reception. While we planned to dine in the evening, we received a call from Cassia that our booking wasn’t accepted as it was fully booked??? (Cassia is one of the good restaurants in Capella) We spoke to them for like 15mins and they gave us an outdoor seating after a late cancellation??? Turned out to be an indoor seating and it was not fully packed at all which made us feel even worse. Now it’s about the quality of the food. We ordered half Peking duck which was the signature dish but that’s definitely the worst I had globally over 30 years. They helped you wrap the duck and surprisingly they only wrapped the skin in the wrap and left the duck breast to cook another dish??? I am originally from Beijing but I never see a restaurant making and serving a Peking duck in that way. Our neighbour table was also complaining about the pace of food served as we saw 5-6 dishes served in one go and felt very sorry for them. Next day dim sum breakfast was also disappointing not because of the food but it’s slow and careless service. Dim sum orders missed almost in every single table and the excuse from manager was there was so many no-booking show up which made them too busy??? Anyway we don’t want to ruin our staycation mood after 2 disappointing dining experience after coming back to the same restaurant in just a month but I have to say it’s really disappointing to see the standard of a restaurant sitting in a five star hotel dropping that rapidly. We will definitely come back to Capella but this restaurant will not be on our list anymore. I am writing up this comment in Cassia and some photos shared with you.

What is your litmus test for a Cantonese restaurant? For us, it is either the hot and sour soup or roast duck. We celebrated a special occasion and experienced the Renaissance in Chinese fine dining at this lovely joint away from the city's hustle and bustle, and it passed our test with flying colours. Here's to a hearty serving of our favourite soup that is both hot AND sour. That duck, too, is aromatic, fleshy, succulent, and incredibly delectable.

Most of the dishes were really well executed, nearly no misses. We loved the peking duck, about 8 pieces for half a portion, just sufficient for 2 pax. Restaurant was full house on a weekend dinner. Service was impeccable despite running on full house. Portion of food was just enough for 2pax. Spent approximately $200++, which is rather pricey given the ambience and location. Would definitely return for special occasions.

Visited Cassia today with my husband after reading positive reviews on google review and it really didn't disappoint. Upon reaching Cassia, I was warmly welcomed and served by the super friendly service staff, Jess. She was very attentive and made great recommendations. We have ordered 5 spiced Pork Belly, Prawn with Glass Noodle in Clay Pot, Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper Sauce, Sweet and Sour Pork and Fried Rice with XO Sauce. All tasted great especially the Wagyu Beef. Thanks Jess for the memorable experience!? Strongly recommend to those who have not yet visited before.

One of the best Chinese dim sum restaurants to eat at in Singapore. There wasn't a dish that we were dissatisfied with and the service was excellent. Highly recommended! The spa and stay at Capella was superb as always. Kudos to the Capella Culturist and service team!
