My Mother has loss some Jewellery in the safe box, and we going to close the account and report to police, staff can told us that if we close the account even police are allow to Enter!

Update: Kudos to Irene for the quick resolution to the issue. Been with Certis CISCO Safe Deposit for 3 years now and while account creation service is fast and efficient, the experience with payment was an utter disappointment. For 2 years in a row, GIRO arrangement was not established with the bank, but I was not informed until late payment notice. This was after assurance by the counter staff that I will be informed of any issues with the GIRO arrangements. So when not informed, I would naturally assume all is well. When questioned about the situation, counter staff could only kept pushing the responsibility to the finance department. Had to head down yesterday (Monday) evening to try to resolve, but counter staff insist that I have to go down to the bank to get the bank verification on the GIRO form before I can make any payment. Her exact words to me was β€œwhen can you get it done?” So now it is my fault that I was not informed earlier regarding the failed GIRO arrangements and I couldn’t make any payment even though I went out of my way (I don’t work or live near Jurong by the way) to the branch to settle the late payment? I felt β€œthreaten” in fact that if i do not get it done in time by the second reminder that I would not be able to get my late interests waive, though not my fault in the first place. I wouldn’t mind doing what have to be done to get the GIRO payment settled but I appreciate better customer service, service recovery and better internal communications. And the fact that this issue has been happening for 2 years doesn’t ring some alert bells?

Recently, encountered a very rude male staff, even when the branch had no customer that day. Not the first time happened. I'm a customer who is neither rude nor impatient, I came to check my deposit box n not visiting a prison. Is it difficult to be courteous? I don't need VIP service, just be courteous to customers instead of behaving like a thug. I have closed my account n take my business elsewhere. Rude staffs are bad for business.
