★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not taking the fact that they are experienced and have done incredible work for many. However, it didn’t worked for me.
I collect vintage bags from the 40s to the 70s. I send out 2 pieces first to seek their help to repair and try their service. Even spoke personally to the owner and he explained how it will be done. Whoever handled perhaps didn’t share the same goal and ended in an unsatisfactory result. I had to redo the work. Tip: be very specific in what you require, must be willing to wait (10 weeks for me), follow up and inform them right away if something is not done properly. It was a lesson learned for me too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I sent a Chanel bag for strap repair and loved the results. The leather strap needed to be taken out (which entailed removing the stitching at the two ends) and reglued. It was done well and one could barely tell that the bag was repaired before. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LIFESAVER! this place is SO AMAZING. I had a 20+ year old LV pochette from my mom which was completely ruined. I'm talking zip completely gone, leather stiff as a rock, hardware basically hanging on by its last thread. I consulted another leather goods repair place and they quoted me almost $600 to fix, and in the end couldn't even fix it! LOL. Feeling dejected I went to LV, and even LV themselves told me the bag was not salvageable. But I heard about chan yew from a friend's friend, and I'm SO SO glad I sent the bag here. I only paid about $290!! And the bag is brand new, the hardware is still original LV. I'm so happy. Will be considering sending my mom's old burberry bag here to spruce the bag up as well. Thank you so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uncle Chan is friendly, sincere and humble. You slowly realise the wealth of knowledge and experience he has when you hear him talk about the leather watch straps you want to make. From choosing the exact piece of crocodile leather to use to show the best scale pattern, to the length of the straps for the best fit. Amazing that he would personally handle small jobs like this, but I'm truly grateful that he did. I didn't feel like a customer. Really like talking to my uncle! And the end result - I cannot ask for anything more. Amazing care and attention to detail, impeccable workmanship, a perfect fit. Way more than 5 stars! Thank you, Uncle Chan!
