Once I have completed the OTP of my resale condo, I started the journey of finding ID for the intended renovation. Prior to engaging Raymond Teng from Charlotte's Carpentry, I have met with at least 3-4 other IDs. While they are not the cheapest in terms of quotation, but I have no hesitation at all in choosing Raymond from Charlotte's Carpentry, as he is the one that by far the most responsive and proactive in communicating and proposing renovation ideas according to our needs. Raymond proactively asked questions on my intended plan, budget and lifestyle; then subsequently proposed design ideas that suited to our needs and aesthetic taste. This is one key difference point that has instilled confidence to Raymond from the start - since some of the IDs that I met actually in a way expecting me to come up with the design idea myself (what's the point of engaging ID if I do have this ability myself, right?) I was also quite concerned whether the renovation can be completed in time for me to move in before my rental contract ends, but Raymond's regular update and clear communication always keep me assured that everything is going according to plan (and at the end, even the renovation completed slightly earlier!). Another thing that I cannot thank Raymond enough is his understanding and also full commitment to the renovation process/timeline - despite a short period of my "unavailability" due to a family member's urgent medical emergency. During this period, Raymond helped to liaise directly with the goods/services providers to make sure that there is no delay to the renovation timeline. I am very thankful and consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity to work with Raymond in my very first renovation as a first-time home owner. The whole renovation process itself has been quite stress-free with Raymond's excellent design proposals and project management. Even after the renovation is completed, Raymond still diligently follow up on some minor issues to rectify. I cannot recommend Raymond highly enough as the go-to ID for your next house renovation - I will definitely keep in touch with him and look forward to work together with him again in my future house renovation. After enquiring around with different designers of various ID firm, we still decided to engage the first designer whom we spoke to - Felix. Other than his professionalism, knowledge in designing, and his management of our house project, he is also open to listening to what we hope to achieve and advise accordingly. We can definitely see the pride he takes in the project he manages. The entire renovation took around 8-9 weeks. Charlotte Carpentry is definitely not the cheapest (neither the most expensive) that we asked around, but it’s definitely worth engaging them and we highly recommend designer Felix.

As first-time homeowners, we were careful in choosing our ID. We trusted our guts and chose to work with Raymond Teng. Now that we’ve gone through the entire project, we can honestly say that our experience with him had been nothing short of amazing! ? Naturally, as beginners, we had tons of questions and we’re grateful that Raymond was kind enough to assist us with all our random queries and concerns even when some were out of his scope of knowledge. Throughout our dealings with him, he has shown exemplary patience through all our fickle-mindedness, changes and design preferences. Whenever we were uncertain about a particular design or colour scheme, Raymond would give us some suggestions while ensuring that they were still to our liking. For someone who probably has multiple clients under his belt, we were impressed by how present and contactable Raymond was. He would regularly share across his progress or updates so we really felt at ease during the entire process. It’s very clear that Raymond knew how to manage his contractors based on how seamless and quick the entire renovation was. We were truly impressed by his level of professionalism and admired his commitment in making sure things are up to speed. In terms of the design of our home, we’re beyond happy with how it turned out! We have gotten compliments from friends and relatives. We can’t wait to start decorating our already beautiful home. We highly recommend Raymond Teng. Your renovation journey will definitely be seamless!

I strongly recommend Ginny as an ID. She is someone who is really experienced, and have provided us with many practical suggestions and insights while taking into consideration our needs. Thanks to her good design insights, we were able to combine functionality with aesthetics. She is also responsible and always made sure to be contactable and respond to our queries as fast as possible. She has saved us a lot of time and effort as we were able to trust her with handling everything smoothly which allowed us to take a more hands-off approach.

Renovation itself is tough, let alone renovating during Covid. We spoke to a few IDs and Raymond really stood out. His responsiveness and quick turnaround even after completion were impressive! Our renovation journey was not easy, with neighbours WFH, shortage of supplies/manpower, etc. But Raymond is very professional in his approach. He was very calm and resourceful and settled most of the issues before updating me. If he does not have a solution, he will inform me quickly and present options. We are very particular about space planning and design, Raymond is very patient to go thru our thought processes and advise if it would work. There were many hiccups along the way (due to covid circumstances), and Raymond has followed through all of them. Raymond Teng is very professional and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Had my new BTO renovation done up by Karen Goh from Charlotte’s Carpentry. From our first discussion with her, she was able to draft out a good image of our home with her idea that fits our needs and colour fittings,especially when it comes to more storage space with a bright appearance and practical house setup Although with limited on-site digital support, her professionalism helps her to draft for us a glimpse of how the designs are made so we can have a rough idea on them and edit on the spot if need any adjustments. She has a great responsibility to her job and will make the time to oversee the renovation is done well and accurate for us, thus you can assure her supervision even if your occupied with work. Overall, Karen has done her job with great responsibility and professionalism that I would recommend her if you need a down-to-earth ID like her?

We worked with Mariana from Charlotte carpentry on this unique project. We loved that she took the time to go through every detail with us as we wanted something a bit different. She was patient and even spent half a day with us when we went tile shopping. Despite our many changes. Mariana really helped us through the process to create this home. Highly recommended and we are very happy with the outcome.
