Cakes are fresh daily and taste awesome. Pineapple tarts and other delicasies taste heavenly. Red velvet cake is value for money, very very very tasty.

Pineapple tarts: pastry is very good melts in the mouth. However, this year's filling seems to have decreased-can't really taste the pineapple anymore.

Unobtrusive yet well patronized by residents like me since 1985. Their quality is a notch above the usual HDB bakeries. Almost continental with heartland prices. 4 buns for $2 is a real bargain. My favourites are curry, coconuts and char siew buns. Mini pizzas also good. But best of the best is their always-soldout durian puffs.

Good morning ?had been patronising this place whenever i am nearby since i moved to my present abode since 2 decades ago. More so when the very yummy pork porridge pop up years ago (long queue de wor).Now with the wfh, my visits has increased. Just realised that i can even preorder my favourite sandwich (3 layers of filling kiap by 4 layers of bread) yummy. A nice place to grab a light breakfast before going to school (the sandwiches sell out quickly.. ?). Super pretty store!! I love the lamps!!

I ordered 3 boxes of the famous pineapple tarts, it has been a tradition for several years but this year its really had been a disappointment, no fragrance, no buttery taste and the fillings is such a disappointment. Did the original owners let go the business again?

Pineapple tarts: Ordered through Carousell (yes... wildly... this is one of the stories where Carousell worked well...), look for user @colorhaus98. Started chat on 7 Jan which was 3 weeks before CNY this year. Picked up on the 21st. Prepaid by PayNow (yes... exactly what Carousell tells you NOT to do...) and invoice was issued via photo in chat. Fuss-free pick-up as they found my order immediately. Tarts are still melt-in-the-mouth buttery and, despite older reviews claiming otherwise, the filling vs pastry ratio is decent. Got a box of 48 for family and 2 smaller boxes for our favourite neighbours - now family is saying they don't want to release the smaller boxes. I would ask them where their festive spirit is if my mouth wasn't full of pineapple tart goodness. See you again next year, Chez Rose!

I love the pineapple tarts. But it's a nightmare to place an order through the phone. Called on Dec 28th to place/enquire the price. Response: Still early to place order for CNY. How much for the small box? Response: I THINK it's $14 for the small box!! Eventually called on Jan 12th to order 5 small boxes (25 pcs) on Jan 12th. Response: Sorry, we've run out of small boxes!! I decided to order the 5 large boxes for collection Jan 16th. Response: What's the date today? There was no request for payment at this point (strange I thought). Went to pick up my order today, the cashier looked shocked; obviously no record of my order (sigh) ? Thank goodness they had 5 big boxes available today. AND they had the smaller box on their shelves!! This guy has the most laid-back and 'bo-chap' attitude I'd ever experienced! EXASPERATING....
