β β β β β Had quite high hopes. Food pictures on the wall looks good. Ordered the signature salted egg fried bee hoon, cai po fried kway teow and fish head curry.
Fish head curry came first, it was fragrant and rich. Meat was just enough. Itβs too my liking.
Cai po kway teow was a bit disappointing. No wok hey taste. Bland, not much taste.
Comes the signature salted egg bee hoon, which was worse. No salted egg taste and itβs like the plain fried bee hoon you get in the morning. Not much ingredients, totally fail for a signature dish. And it doesnβt come cheap. Itβs around $7-$8 per dish. The curry fish head is the dish that saves it from getting one star.

Typical Zi Char stall. They have few branch over the island. Portion is rather smaller than a typical small dish. Taste wise is average nothing fantastic or mouth watering.
