★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place which sells a selection of dried foodstuff (not very extensive), toiletries, condiments and the odd mix of beauty products. All these are sold at relatively cheaper prices than wholesale ones (e.g. NTUC or Sheng Siong).
The place while seemingly convenient, does not always offer the most competitive pricing. For instance, CK Department Store - some 100 metres away - sells way more in variety and for a much more competitive price. Chop Chip Seng, with their relative stability, does not vary much in pricing but keeps their prices low. I am sure this pricing logic also extends itself to dried foodstuff and condiments. After all, the wet market is literally a stone's throw away.
I would encourage sauntering around the neighbourhood. Better prices may be offered elsewhere.
