Absolutely poor service received today. Went to the wrong shop after verifying the booking at lower delta. Rush over to Toa Payoh and arrive in 20mins. When arrive, they told us luckily we came over or else the food would have been wasted. We were happy waiting until it reach 40mins and all other tables around us had their dishes served. Tried to inquire, say they forgot our table when we were at the reserved table with the number tag. And food came within 10mins quickly. Then came the Vietnamese or Chinese lady boss or waitress serving the frog leg and just say “where do I put?”when there’s no obvious space, demanding us to make room? do I tell her u can hold it? Perhaps can she speak in a better tone or even better body language to try to move the plates around. Totally poor experience. Food wise it’s pretty close to lower delta if distance is an issue. Service wise, just worlds apart.

An established brand of tzi char for many years. Has been here in Toa Payoh for just slightly less than 20 years. Most of the staples like fried rice and noodles are ok. Will personally recommend the coffee pork ribs and Furong Dan (Omelette). Personal preference. They are the best around, so far.

Only 2 ppl allowed as for now due to covid and because there is no safeentry. The fish head steamboat is great, like their lower delta branch. It actually felt more delicious here but lesser dishes inside.

I ordered the exact same thing I ordered in Bukit Merah branch. I was a little disappointed. They taste okay but compared to the other branch, the taste is not that flavourful. The fish head curry was too watery, not enough santan. Flavour becomes bland. The garlic pork ribs garlic flavour is not strong enough. Lycee sweet and sour pork, the pork was soggy. Salted egg sotong is okay. The lotus leaf duck flavour is too bland too, the duck tho is very tender, there are a lot of ingredients inside. One good thing is the staff is very friendly and helpful. The taste wise probably here is more suitable for people that like not so salty taste. I personally like it to have more flavour.

The experience may not fully match up to what you have at Lower Delta, which is being run by another one of their brothers, but is still great for what it's worth. The service is mind-blowing whereever you're at. The boss in white polo will always ask about you, service you, ensure that you're well taken care of, and he runs the team of blue and black tee employees. The fish steamboat is still one of the best I've had in Singapore, whether this outlet or the others. Fish is fresh, soup is yummy, and ingredients very generous. No questions asked, definitely have returned numerous times and many more to come.

Deliciousssss. Loved it. They give complimentary fruits and lollipops. Last time I ate here, they used to give complimentary ice cream. The food was always good though.
