★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For me a good wonton noodles has to be dry in dark sauce and laced with lard. The noodle has to be the traditional non egg noodles. The noodles during cooking use go through a few rounds of hot and cold water immersions to bring out the springiness of the noodles.
This place ticks off all the above.
This place offers a few options - soup based, dried spicy white, dark non spicy.
During the “lock down” we did the take-away and expected the noodles to be soggy and clumpy when we arrived home after 20 min. Happy to say it was still good.
The uncle is a tad grumpy. But good food. Price point. Absolutely can’t comply IMO.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mee is slimmer than the usual and cooked nicely with springy texture. Mixed well with the chili and black sauce. Always long queue during weekends. The fried dumplings are delicious, will thin dumpling skin and tasty fillings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Correction found out actually there are 2 stores. One at block 19 coffeeshop and block 22 market inside #01-49.
Noodles is thin hong kong style which give the springy texture.
Price going up? Today give 2 boiled wontons + 1 fried wonton instead usual 2+2.
Also recommended the Hougang Ming明记 wonton noodle which uses same thin noodle but have bigger & nicer wontons & char siew. Nowadays has a branch at bugis (270 Albert Centre) hawker/market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ simply love the QQ noodle bite and the chilli too !! Old school style wanton mee dry with chilli comes with orangey red char siew and a bowl of ikan billis soup . Simple happy meal !! nom nom @bugis branch ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noodles done the right way. With lots of tap water used in the washing. The resulting bite of the noodles, matched with dark sauce plus a drizzle of non-vegetable oil. Hawker heaven!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanton mee (large) - There were 3 boiled wantons, a couple of fried ones, and some slices of char siew. The portion of noodles was large, but it didn’t taste spectacular. The wantons were ok. The soup was average.
Dumpling soup (水饺) - There were four dumplings. Large and good.
