Chuan Xiang Kitchen

Probably the best Chinese food in Singapore. Food portions are way more than any other restaurant and the ingredients and vegetables are so fresh. Their service is very good especially Ms Zhao Hui at the counter is so welcoming. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Went with 2 friends, first lady was quite rude in asking us to check in. Secondly, asked for mala and was told it was unavailable. Understandable due to covid. Trying to get the waitress' attention was as though I'm trying to get the attention of a dead person. When we tried to order something else, we were told that the items that we ordered are unavailable. Then what is available? Should have told us which dishes were unavailable before we started ordering. Thanks for wasting our time.

Went with Eatigo discount. The food was not bad, portion was big (and probably fair even at the original price). Place was clean and bright, though furnishing was more like a cafe than restaurant; not an issue for us. However I don’t understand why the whole Friday dinner time 6-7pm I was there, there was only 1 customer. I hope they get more business to survive. Edited: above was my 1st visit 4 weeks ago. I gave 5 stars. Needed to downgrade this down to 1 as service and food was terrible. My second visit today at 645pm was terrible. Not only we have waited for 45min+ for our food, the dishes were of either completely different taste from my 1st visit (same exact dish - upon asking they said they have a different cook) or just things being not available (but informed really late). There were not that many customers. Only 1 waitress serving 2 stories (which wasn’t an issue during my last visit being the only table). Bad experience.

-Food: 2 For the sit-in and order food, the taste is generally okay. But the price is relatively high as compared to its counterparts. The Mala hotpot’s ingredients are extremely not fresh, and the choice is so little. You could see the vegetables are mostly dehydrated because of being out there for a month. And the meat is rather not fresh either. If there is any other Mala nearby, I would definitely avoid this store. -Service: 0 The service is extremely TERRIBLE. The waitresses it employed are extremely unprofessional - not only slow in serving the food, but not friendly either. My friends and I walked in at about 9pm, and there was an waitress at the counter probably looking at the accounts. NO ONE SERVED US. And when we asked to be served, SHE COMPLETELY IGNORED US WITHOUT EVEN TAKING A LOOK AT US. And we wanted to give benefit of doubt first and then ended up standing there for 5 minutes with at least 3 waitress passing by and no one catered to us. LOL is it we beg you to have your food / service? I really wondered why it could still be open in Singapore.

Standards have been dropping over the years. Service is slow as always it takes a few minutes to get their attention, food is alright but standards have dropped. Their peppery chicken isnt tasty anymore or have the numbing feeling, its just extremely spicy. Also, take note opening hours have changed and the store closes at 10.30pm now! Also, there is no more mala.

Food was superb good for Chinese food lover.Service fast.

New restaurant opened and the ambient is nice. Price is reasonable and service is good. Worth to try if you like ma la xiang guo.
