Premium price for great coverage, but you will be facing tons of questions and justifications needed during the claim! Pre-authorisation will not keep you peace in mind as well.

Save yourself the anguish and aggravation of health coverage through Cigna the company does not stand behind its promise. Our five year old daughter was born with cerebral palsy requires periodic size adjustments to the walking mobility aides she needs to be able to walk but Cigna is denying coverage for this telling us "your daughter can still get at least 2 years of use out of her old pair." We have gone around and around with Cigna trying to convince them to change their decision even several of our pediatric orthopedists have provided Cigna with plenty of documentation and proof that our daughter needs an upgrade to the next size. However Cigna is just stubbornly refusing to cover the cost of this even though it’s written right into your insurance contract with them that this is a service which they must contractually provide by law. Avoid this greedy insurance company at all costs! All they do is try to convince the public they are “together all the way” with the members because they are in “the business of caring.” Oh please just spare me that nonsense because Cigna’s actions are so contrary to all of that clichéd phony stuff which they use to promote health insurance services and products which they honestly have no intention of actually covering. Talk about a huge irony that an insurance company says one thing just to try to get your business and then steal your premium dollars yet they do the exact opposite when it comes time to actually being “together all the way” with the same members they are deceiving. My wife and I are so incredibly angry at Cigna right now yet there is nothing which we can do right now except wait for this entire situation to play out in court. Yet in the meantime while we wait for that process to unfold I at least just want people to know what a crooked and sleazy insurance company this is who is in anything but “the business of caring” about its members. That way no other family out there will have to endure the same pain and anguish and devastation which we’ve had to over the past several months watching our poor disabled child struggle unnecessarily in pain which she wouldn’t have to do if only Cigna would actually show some empathy and have some ethics and morals. Just save yourself the immense heartache and aggravation of dealing with this spineless and ruthless bait-and-switch company masquerading as a “caring” health insurer. This is especially true if you have a disabled child who is vulnerable and totally reliant on an insurance company to be “together all the way with them.” Learn from our own mistakes selecting Cigna as our health insurer please if you value your health because this company will ruthlessly and callously abandon you in your time of need when you are most vulnerable and at your lowest of lows. Don’t believe any of the standard “we are sorry to hear that please contact us at the email address below so we can look into this matter for you” kind of response which Cigna will probably choose to post underneath this review either. This insurance company was already given multiple upon multiple chances to make everything right and better for our daughter yet they still obviously choose to value money and greed over the well-being of helpless vulnerable children like our daughter! Honestly it’s just so disgusting and depressing that an insurance company as well-known as Cigna is would choose to sell out its morals and integrity for a stack of money!

It takes long for the claims to be processed but I did not get questioned like other reviews. Customer service is relatively responsive to queries and they generally reply in a day. However, do note that not a lot of hospitals/clinics accept Cigna.

Honestly the worst insurance provider I have ever seen. They charge so high a premium but is unable to help when help is needed. Questioned the doctor’s diagnosis and gave a completely unrelated and preposterous conclusion on their side just to avoid the claim. Even with medical reports their medical underwriters are still incapable of assessing the proper situation. Trash and unprofessional

Same as others - totally useless until my employer stepped in and started shouting at the broker. Dont use Cigna if youre in Singapore - while the US call centres are somewhat helpful (shoutout to Britney) the Asian centres are a total disaster. Raymond Ng . . . you should do some soul searching.

Cigna really doesn’t want its business in Singapore. I wanted to enquire about their health insurance policies - no local sales team and it’s been impossible to speak to their European team during the day due to time difference. Got a call back at 10pm SG time which woke my baby up. Have tried to reach out 10 times to speak to someone and it’s just not working. I guess Cigna really doesn’t want my business so I’ll go somewhere else. Please don’t give me another email address to contact in your response, your service is a joke.

I have been advised to choose Cigna Global Insurance by Aleksander from Pacific Prime. It has been a year with Cigna and unfortunately I have had lots of unfortunate health issues. Cigna's team has been incredibly responsive and helpful. In a few instances where I was coming across as a difficult client, the Cigna team has managed the communication over emails and phone very well (being professional and empathetic at the same time). The claim process is very straightforward as well as it is very easy to submit your claims online. To be honest I have no recommendation to Cigna as it has been a smooth and pleasant experience throughout. Thank you.

Sadly the sales team in Singapore did not do their job properly for us. My wife was sold a policy specifically to cover herself for pregnancy. We were sold on coverage for “inpatient and day patient” coverage. At no point in the sale or subsequent renewal did any Cigna employee mention that none of the pre-natal appointments, tests or scans would be covered as these are “outpatient” and require an extra “module” to be added to the insurance. The subtle difference in these terms were not explained to us. We never received any quotes for what this module would cost to add on. I find this despicable given that my wife was clear that the main purpose of the insurance was to cover us for the whole process of pregnancy in Singapore, where a huge number of scans are done as standard. To add insult to injury, along with about $3,000 worth of pre-natal costs that Cigna have refused to cover, they have also told us that of the roughly $12,400 inpatient hospital fees, they will only reimburse $6,000, despite our excess being $3,000 (which is also very high). We cannot understand this. After making our best attempts to secure what we are owed, we will be cancelling our policy and moving to another insurer, and we highly recommend that others avoid Cigna if at all possible.
