β β β β β Happened to bypass the Toa Payoh heartland this morning and bumped into the traditional provision shop. Such outlets are hard to find these days especially in a heartland area.
The shop is about 5min walk from Braddell MRT. The shop sell products ranging from dried food, canned food, Chinese herbs, tonics and many others.
However, it seems disorganised with goods not placed in their respective categories. It's kinda difficult to locate the products you wish to buy.
Prices were comparable cheaper than many shops around.
Staffs are friendly and approachable. Only one staff can speak Chinese. Other staffs seems to not able to speak Chinese and limited English.

β β β β β One of the cheapest traditional grocery shop available in Toa Payoh.
CDC vouchers can be used in the shop.
The shop sells:
1. Dried food - dried mushrooms, dates, noodles, bean curd skins, chrysanthemum, black fungus etc.
2. Chinese herbs - ginseng, American ginseng, yuzhu, dang sheng, gan cao, dang gui, etc
3. Various canned food and sauces - popular Ipoh and Malaysian soya sauces and products.
4. Some vegetarian canned food, sauces and seasonings can be found here.
The pricing of the items were fairly cheap compared to local supermarkets and other grocery shop.
The staffs are generally friendly and approachable.
The store can be messy at times.
