Club 5 - 7500 Beach Rd

The bar has warm and vintage vibes with great food and locally inspired cocktails. Bonus points for their wagyu satay and chip served with balachan!

Went the other day to Club 5, a cocktail lounge at Parkroyal Beach Road. Easily 9/10 from the cocktails, the ambience, the food and of course the service from the Head Bartender, Richard. Check it out guys, they have some unique cocktails you cant find it else where here.

Overly loud music for patrons to dance, I brought my friends over for drinks and chill but we could not hear each other at all and had to literally shout to one another and no staff tend to our needs, staff and waiters/waitresses were nowhere to be found as well. It was our first time coming over and very disappointing. Will not come back again anymore, don’t recommend anyone to as well, this is not a restaurant nor a bar, it’s a clubbing area for people to dance get wasted and not hear each other talk.

Nice place with a very cosy dark interior decor. Had the cheeseburger which was really good. Almost reminding of shakeshack. For drinks.. the nasi lemak was good. Music can be rather loud.. have to slmost shout to talk.

First impressions: 1. I've made a booking online, and was pleasantly surprised they called to confirm the reservations. Most F&B places would just text these days, so while the call was great, had to deduct some points off for the attitude of the staff who called. I mean, my name is the easiest and most basic of all names, and someone's name is their main identifier, so if someone gets it wrong, I do correct them, which I feel is justified. He seemed to be a tad defensive for correcting him, which in turn irked me. 2. The entrance to the bar is also a little misleading, you have to go in via the restaurant as they also served as a quarantine hotel apparently. And the staff at the main lobby was chasing us away quickly, as they had a confirmed Covid positive person arriving. It was not that pleasant to start the night. Luckily, the night got better. Club 5 is a beautifully designed bar, and has a very relaxed vibe. They have pretty cool and imaginative drinks as well. I was not expecting to be blown away given the less than ideal first impressions, but I was. The drinks were good and well worth the calories. Would have ordered more if I was not on a calorie-deficit diet for the moment. Next time! They were also very generous with the complimentary snacks. I possibly will visit the bar again. I just hope they don't butcher my name again. ?

Drinks are no surprise but good. The decor is more on the business side but needs more effort into a soft ambiance. Sorta speakeasy in hotel

Club 5 is a Gem! Masterfully currated by the manager Richard from drinks all the way to food. I am impressed! Kudos to him and his team! I did have a wonderful experience and will come back for sure!!! Well done!

Great vibes, great cocktails, look for Richard for the outstanding bespoke cocktails and hospitality, he will surely surprise you. They have a lot of whisky selection. Will be back here for more Beverage surprises. MUST TRY on their menu, paper flames.
