Great place to shop for groceries and fresh baked goods.

The shopping centre has got mostly useful shops from grocery supermarket to home improvement to toys to massage parlours. It's an older 1970s mall so it's got some character. Parking may be a problem during meal times where it's swamped by the expatriates and the snooty, chi chi yuppies. Gone are the bohemian shops and hippies. Pity. The supermarket stands where the old Fitzpatrick stood (in fact Fitzpatrick is the holding company, renamed). It carries Western and Japanese products. Prices can be a bit pricey compared to the other supermarket chains down the other side of Holland Village.

It is my fav store because I grew up in the neighbourhood. The goods are very well stocked and the staff is friendly. The store has a wide variety of goods. I have always been proud of patronizing this store!

Convenient local, but limited fruit and bananas always sold out early.

Quite a wide range of products, also got a little bakery inside. Sometimes there're attractive promotion, like this 15sgd for 2 packs of evergood sausages. Disappointed that they have only one type of mustard though.

Went to Cold Storage @ Holland Village just a while ago between 7.30pm and 8.00pm. At the salad counter I was the only customer and I waited to be served by the lone male staff who seemed to be busy moving back and forth from the counter to the wash basin. I noticed he gave the impression that he was too busy to notice me. I waited and I waited. Then a lady customer appeared on my left and approached the hot meats counter just beside the salad counter. And wow!! The male staff took notice and immediately without any prompt, came to the lady and asked "Can I help you?" The lady said "Yes, can I have a corn dog?". The male staff happily obliged. I was like, what?? Am I invisible or what?? But anyway I remained patient and tolerated. Then just as the corn dog customer left, 3 female customers arrived at the hot meat counter. The male staff then turned towards them and asked how he can help them ? Now I was really boiling. Straight away I told the male staff "aren't you going to serve me?? I have been here a while ago waiting for you." The male staff then turned to another male staff who had just arrived and told him to serve me. Both their body language told me they were not happy that I had the cheek to speak up to demand for service that I rightly deserve. Needless to say there was no smile, and no thank you from them. With their surly attitude, this type of human behavior should not be working at the front line.

I was asked by my colleague to help to buy tapioca flour on my way. Was disappointed that the Holland village branch does not sell it. It will be good if self service weighing machines can be placed at the fruit section instead of cashier as we would want to know the price. On 8 Dec 2020, I came by here around 11pm. There is nice jazz Christmas music and lovely displays.

One of the older but more selected items mainly for people who don't live in Singapore as their native country. It has everything a foreigner usually will look for but it definitely comes with the price. If you can find it online you may be able to find it cheaper than going into store. You just have to wait for it that's all
