โ โ โ โ โ A 'western' food stall located in the corner of the kopitiam. The food is done right, grilled with dried spices and herbs. The potatoes are grilled and toasted with the herbs. Marinara is light and not overly sweet. Tasty!

โ โ โ โ โ Went to support this new stall in my neighbourhood - their specialty is Har Cheong chicken chop which is very flavorful and comes with a sambal sauce and 2 sides. We also ordered Bacon and Mushroom Alfredo, Pork Chop with Black Pepper Sauce. All delicious.

โ โ โ โ โ Pleasantly surprised by the chicken chop that I ordered for lunch. The chicken had a slightly crispy skin, and the sauce was flavourful and not too salty. Will come back to try their pastas.

โ โ โ โ โ Excellent fare at reasonable prices. For starters, their homemade mushroom soup ($3) is rich, creamy and well-presented, even coming with a oily slice of garlic bread. Was surprised to see ST calling out the All-Cheese Quesadilla ($7.5) for being too salty, after all what else can be expected from a sandwich of melted cheese? With the included salsa and a few strands of green, itโs a great meal for those with heavier tastes. Har Cheong Chicken is an interesting take on a local dish, which Cornerstone nails on. Rose Pasta is yet another fusion dish, essentially a cream tomato blend, but comes out quite nice. Overall decent cuisine from chefs not afraid to experiment beyond the tried and tested

โ โ โ โ โ Ordered a Har Cheong Chicken Cutlet with Herb Roasted Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. The chicken cutlet, though nicely crisped with a light prawn paste coating that smelled marvellous, had a sour overtone once you sink your teeth into it. I'm not sure if it's due to the buttermilk marinate or the red fermented beancurd used in most har cheong seasonings. I would strongly recommend the chef to improve the recipe as the sourness could be off-putting to some folks. The herb roasted potatoes were cut into bite-sized bits, with its skin left on to absorb the salt and spices. It was flavourful and I would certainly be back for more of it. The seasonal vegetables, though freshly boiled, was uneventful and plain. The portion could be more too as I love my greens.
Update March 2022: Chicken Chop with Scallion Sauce ($6.50) had a rather generous portion of chicken, mushroom rice and greens. My only complaint is that the scallion sauce is more syrupy and more to the sweet side than savoury. The mushroom rice was fluffy, soft and sweet too, not sure whether it was from the spillover scallion sauce. The skin of the chicken was nicely pan-grilled to crisp, with most of the grease already dissolved in high heat.
The Mushroom and Ham Quesadilla ($7.50) had very authentic tasting salsa served with it. I love my salsa with lots of cilantro and this hit just the spot. The quesadilla were also toasted just perfectly with the right amount of crunch when eaten immediately. I only hope that they could up the number of quesadilla to 3, making the amount more substantial for a full meal.
Pork Salad ($8) is awesome with a generous mix of finely chopped cabbage, carrots and mesclun greens. Makes for a filling low-carb option around the neighborhood.
