Tender and tasty chicken. Rice is alright and not oily, lacks abit of flavor. Chili is sour and spicy and hits the right spot on spiciness.

Review for the month of September 2021 Rice is fragrant. Chili is Good. However....the way the chef chop the chicken meat was a TURN OFF for me. It looks abit Messy. The Chicken meat was expected to be hard meat type since it uses Kampung chicken and NOT the normal chicken. Well majority of the chicken rice stall use the normal chicken and for this stall as for now they only use the kampung chicken. The taste is Okay. But the presentation (The Meat chopping skills was not so great) Finally, minimum for a plate of chicken rice located @ coffeeshop it cost $5 ! I feel that it is slightly expensive Of course this kampung chicken is NOT common in Singapore. But since this food stall is located @ Coffeshop/HDB area, i still feel that $5 is abit higher pricing. Max 4 stars from me IF the presentation of the food is improved next time, but as for now due to also their pricing, 3 stars...

It’s not easy to sell chicken rice to Singaporeans considering the number of good chicken rice stalls scattered around the island. Rice was ok and they are using the kampong chicken now that malaysia had stopped exporting fresh chickens to us. Prices seem to have sky rocketed as a result which is deterring me to eat chicken rice these days. A normal plate cost $5 and one with drumstick will set you back $6. Chicken was pretty average but the chilli sauce is commendable! Packed a punch.

They switched to Hainanese salted duck due to Malaysia chicken export ban. The duck is good with good portion of meat for $5 & the sweet pickled mustard green goes well with the duck. Rice is still the usual fragrant rice.

Rice portion is very generous for a single serving. The rice is grainy with a lovely sheen however it is not oily nor too savoury. The fragrance factor could go up a notch. The drumstick was tender and drizzled with a slight sweetish soya sauce that enhanced the flavour of the meat. The chilli sauce with a superbly fine texture had just the right tang and heat. Both the chili sauce and ginger sauce could do with less salt. Thumbs up for serving a good quality black sauce. Mix the 3 sauces together for an out-of-this world taste. The soup could be improved. It lacked umami. The pictured portion of drumstick and rice cost $6.00.

Excellent chicken rice at affordable prices! You can even get an omelette freshly made. It’s a pity they don’t have roast chicken.

Their chicken rice is a steal for its good quality and taste. The rice was really aromatic, fluffy and not too oily. Chicken is tendery juicy, retaining its moisture during every bite. Really enjoyed my meal here. ?

Quite a different kampong chicken rice experience that I am usually used to. The chicken they have is firmer yet juicy. I tried their duck upon their recommendation and that was good too. The rice are made well, it is fragrant but not strong enough in its taste for me. The chilli and ginger are so well made. The texture is probably the best I had. The soup is light and helps to cleanse the palate. I hope the rice flavor to be boosted.
