CYC Made to Measure - #01-12/13/14 Capitol Singapore

My first experience with CYC was a disappointing one. I made an order of 2 tailored shirts on 6th jan and was assured that it will be ready in 2-3 weeks time, in time for the lunar new year. 2 weeks passed and was asked to collect my order. Went down to the store and to my disappointment, only 1 was ready (When I was asked to collect my order, they did not inform me that only 1 was ready). I was told that the 2nd shirt’s fabric ran out of stock and they only found out that morning. I felt I was being lied to, as I placed my order 2 weeks ago and only on the morning of the collection date then they found out that the fabric was out of stock? It just doesn’t make sense. I had settle for another fabric which I did not particularly like and was made to top up the difference in price. Then came the final piece of news that made me very angry, I was told that it might not be ready for lunar new year. (update: CYC called the next day and told me it will be ready in 1 weeks time. But no proper explanation given as to how this mistake happened. Was only told that they will feedback to their boss.) For a brand which pride themselves as the best tailor in Singapore and with this kind of price point for shirts, I expected more professionalism. Please own up to your mistake instead of making up an obvious lie. If you had told me the truth, I would’ve been more understanding. You accepted my money for a promised deadline but over promised and under delivered. You are such a let down CYC.

CYC has been my go-to place for quality professional wear since I was recommended to them in 2015. Service is great and the quality of clothing (shirts and suits alike) better. Their casual wear is highly commendable as well with funkier colours and patterns introduced to their catalogue. Ruys has been my go-to guy and I do rate his services and opinions highly.

Visited Ruys for my 2 PCs suit. Suit was delivered within timeframe. Very happy with the service and recommendations by Ruys. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to tailor their shirts/pants/suits.

Had a pair of pants made on 26 Nov. Warned them that I have an issue with my pockets but they assured me they could accommodate. Two months later, after going down FOUR times to try on these made-to-measure pants, they still did not fit properly. In the end I had to have it refunded. Staff were polite but ultimately failed to deliver what I paid for and wasted a huge amount of my time and money.

Exceptional service provided from start to end. Suit was made and delivered within expected time frame. Very happy with the high quality fabric of the shirt and exceptional colour of the suit. Fitting was superb and no major alterations were needed upon collection. Thank you Ruys for the excellent service, from selecting the fabrics, measuring and fitting.

CYC needs no introduction. It’s been around for years, that even my father made his shirts and suits there and it’s a natural choice for me as well. I went over to their Capitol outlet and was served by Ruys. A really knowledgeable and approachable person, he will guide you in your journey into making the perfect outfit for you. I got myself a white shirt for work, and the fitting and quality of tailoring is top-notch! Definitely won’t be my last time patronising CYC, and of course looking forward to be served by Ruys again. I got introduced to this tailor shop by a friend who makes his shirts here. I made myself two tailor-made shirts and all I can say is the service is at expected level. The staff happily shares knowledge and guidance through all the different options of fabric and cuts. Mira welcomed me and made sure my shirts were the right fit and ready on time and even followed up after the touch up phase. Quality and prices are good value considering the great quality of service. I highly recommend this shop and Mira's services

My partner and I went to the shop today (3 July) at around 3pm. There were 3 staff and if I'm not wrong, at the time we entered, no other customer. Prior to our physical visit, my partner has bought 2 ready stock polo tees online. Today we had planned to get a work top & trousers done. However, we were not given any eye contact or served. In the end, he left with another polo tee. We have patronised 2 other established shops similar to CYC, but have received much better service (friendly chats, gin & tonic, coffee, good recommendations). 3 stars given to the good fitting size S polo tees that's of good quality. Thank you for the tote bags too. If the store was shorthanded, I fully understand. But we were treated as transparent by the 3 staff. Will likely not be back.
