DO NOT prepay Shore for any lessons in advance. He convinced me to prepay SGD 900 dollars for private lessons, which turned out to be a "group" with others than 1 on 1. I took around 3 lessons and unfortunately I developed serious eczema which led to me not being able to do lessons for 1.5 years. He did not inform me that the lessons were un refundable or that there was a timeframe for lessons to be used when I told him I couldn't attend lessons and that I will contact him when I have recovered. Now, after 1 year, I finally have recovered sufficiently to resume lessons. He refuses to refund me or resume private lessons. He also wrote a very unprofessional email to tell me he wouldn't be accomodative because "he doesn't teach complaining students" when I gave him the feedback that his business practises were unethical. Hate to write bad reviews but in this case, I believe that he really doesn't deserve the business.

I am disgusted to read that a. client who paid $900 for dancing lessons could not get a refund or a continuation of the lessons after completing only 3 lessons and recovering from an illness. The reason offered by Shore is clearly unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous. He should complete the lessons or refund the money on a pre-rated basis. It clearly shows he is unfit to run the business. I agree completely with the complainent. This is a follow up of your reply to me. Secondly, I think you should explain to Case, MOM and CPIB why you did not return the money or on a pro- rated basis or complete the course.There is no point telling me what your policy is. Is it written in your contract with your client and did she sign it as having read and agreed. You accused me of having nothing to do. Well, I am likely to refer this case then to the auhorities to decide. And you had better shown them your contract and policy to prove your case. Your student had claimed you had told her nothing.
