Good light and crispy! Super good value for money. Will go there in a heartbeat. Very good shop and they should be proud of their product!

I don’t like carrot cake but I was sorely tempted to keep all of this to myself instead of sharing it with my brother. Simple yet absolutely delicious! Eat it piping hot and freshly made!! 13/14 pieces was enough for two who weren’t hungry to begin with but it was so good it left us wanting more!

The best in the market, great finger food for kids and the guy is very friendly. Be sure to make your order known or you may not get what you want. I tend to order half and half. Half cool and half hot. Haha IMHO its good for a 5 star.

I have heard so much about this place and recently this stall was highlighted in one of the food series on Channel 8 (unorthodox versions of the carrot cake or chai tow kway). I have to say that I was really looking forward to the food and was kinda excited when I saw the long queue. It took about 15 mins to get to my turn and I ordered three packs of deep fried carrot cake at SGD3 and 21 sticks per pack. There goes the issue - you need to eat it on the spot to enjoy the food. It must be taken hot. As the food is hot and lumped together, the carrot cake sticks get wet and get stucked together and hence destroys the taste. Anyways, I think the food is not bad, but nothing to shout about. Kudos to the proprietor to think of this technique but I can only give this a three star at best.

Chewy and nice, must eat it immediately when you got on hands. The thing of getting this is, this store is always super long queue as each tray has only 40 to 50 sticks and is a one man operation stall. From cutting, laying them nicely on the frying tray, flipped it and drain it... Uncle power. I won't always come for this as it was always super slow and long wait. Patience is the key. Guess waited for 25 mins... for 30 sticks at $3

Chances upon this carrot sticks stall while enjoying our Saturday breakfast. Decent. Cai poh fragrance came through nicely. Crunchy crust & soft Center.

There are a few similar stalls that I know of which I normally go to for fried carrot cake sticks (one in Bedok Food Centre & Market, one in Geylang East Market & Food Centre). All are good and slightly different in their own unique ways. This one is more crispy on the outside and softer on the inside (probably more radish than flour). It is slightly salty for me which I feel can be toned down a bit to make it even more umami.
