The cereal sotong was too oily — they should have fried the cereal separately from the sotong. The sotong was undercooked and the batter did not stick to it. As a result the cereal was mixed with bits of fallen-off batter and that it made difficult to enjoy the cereal properly. The portion of sotong was very — there were only about 10 small slices. The tofu with cai po was lacking in flavour. While the texture of the tofu was soft and silky, the gravy lacked taste — it was not salty nor flavourful enough. The french beans would have been much better if they had used the thin long type as opposed to this thick kind. They can also consider using dried shrimp to stir fry the french beans. The egg with shrimp was unworthy of note.

Zichar stall at reasonable price and reasonable quantity. A gem in woodlands estate! Recently got GST and service charge.

The ambience was very lively, with great lighting and decorations. Food was alright, nothing great. Unfortunately service was quite slow...we only got the sambal kangkong after we finished all the other dishes, and barely had any rice left. Would be 4 stars if not for that

This has got to be one of the best zi char in Woodlands! Good value, fresh and decently tasty. While not really wow kind of tasty, this is the epitome for value. 4 pax only paid $29.30 including a $10 Nonya style fishtail, akin to Assam taste. I think can’t find this price anywhere in SG and I strongly believe they won’t stay this way for long. Packed during the weekends, but the service is prompt and wait bearable. While you’re here, you can also try the seafood soup at another stall while waiting. Quite nice too. Similar to Yan Ji seafood soup at Marsiling though slightly less ‘umami’...

Love the fact that this place is open till late and their prices may seem cheap, yet the food here is no way sub par. With regards to the seafood here, their deal for the Asam fish tail is unbeatable and the portion easily feeds 4 adults. Fresh fish and asam gravy done right, does not get better when you consider the price that is below $20. $10 for Asam fish tail & $12 for the asam fish head. The other dishes, such as the cereal prawns, stir fried kailan and hot plate tahu are all decently done as well. If I am hungry in the area, this will be my go-to coffee shop, especially for the “zi char”.

Food so so. Maybe we have ordered their promotion item( Fish head) , that’s why when we ordered the broccoli the portion is so pathetic and it costs $10. Bad experience here…Will not come back for more.

I was so suprise when I saw such a busy food court with nice stalls in this area. It was probably I was new to this place. This BBQ seafood is one of the stalls that we waited for close to half an hour to get BBQ stringay and kankong on Sunday night and the taste was so fantastic.
