★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought some rice dumplings yesterday as it was near duan wu jei ( rice dumpling festival) at $4.5 each. Very bland and very very little meat, felt cheated, unscrupulous profiteers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bun was way to dense and doughy :( would prefer if it had a fluffier texture!! This dough was firm to touch and v v thick! Although for just $1.50, it’s quite solid and worth it. Fillings were generous as well. Thick and rich creamy sesame paste, although a bit too sweet for my liking. Bun to filling ratio a bit too much, think it’ll be better w a bit lesser bun! 6/10 try once good enough, don’t think I’ll crave it enough to go back and have it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting. Found a piece of long and black hair strand. I have brown hair so it definitely came from one of the service staff. Am appalled at how that strand could be missed out when it’s that long. Will never patronise again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their 香酥肉饼 is the best among all similar products, crispy pastry and juicy filling. But it turns oily when cold, so eat it hot or reheat using oven, same to their other fried items .
No comment on steam buns and mantou, don’t looks appealing to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They recently increased prices by 25 percent. I usually get the pumpkin huat kueh. It's a large piece for 2.50 (used to be just 2) and it's not too sweet. I've tried the purple sweet potato mantou and that's decent. If you like premium fillings then go to Just Dough, if you just like fluffy bread then come here to get more value.
