Dr. Deepan's medical clinic - 303 Jurong East Street 32

Told the male doctor that the courier at the counter (chit-chating with 2 female staff) was not wearing mask. He took a look, no action taken, went into his room and closed the door. The 2 female staff were nonchalant too. The courier was there for 20 minutes and finally left without wearing a mask. The female doctor who tended to me was nice though.

First time here. Was greeted politely by the front desk staffs. Dr was very detailed on the procedures and treatment. Will definitely be the go to place for "medical sanctuary". Highly recommended.

Ridiculously long waiting time. Been there 3 times (2 times for me and once accompanying someone else). The wait times are as long as 1.5 to 2 hours even when there are not many patients. This evening when we went there were only 2 patients before us and it still took more than 1 hour 45 min. Checked with front staff on estimated time, she said 5 minutes and its been 45 minutes since then and still waiting. It is probably is the lack of staff - dont know. The doctor is quite ok and nice but wont be going again as it feels very inefficient wasting time.

My husband came in at 7.30pm yesterday, 21/Mar/22. There were only 2 patients before him, but it took a long time. Please bear in mind my husband is in pain; no empathy given by counter staff. He was only done at closing time. They've got issues. Let me list them down:- 1) Counter staff asked my husband why he is here with another patient present at the counter. My husband waited for the other patient to go but counter staff insisted. Unprofessional! Your condition is suppose to be confidential. This is basic! 2) Doctor did not close his door or his screen or his back door aft asking my husband to lie down for an examination. He asked why my husband is just waiting there. 3) Did not thoroughly examine my husband. Barely touched him. No referral letter given. Suggested to my husband to get a referral letter at a polyclinic. No compassion that his patient is in pain. 4) Counter staff once again do not understand what confidentiality means. They were dispensing my husband's medication side by side with another patient. He was in pain so he couldn't really understand what their instructions were since they were also talking to the other patient. 5) My husband was charged $120. The next day he went to NTFH A&E. The A&E doctor enquired why the clinic doctor did not do anything to rectify his condition. So A&E doctor did his job, brought down the inflammation and it amounted to $160. Please see the diff in price point. Dr Deepan clinic - 0, NTFH doctor - 1 We concluded that both counter staff (3 of them) and doctor from this clinic were eager to go home so they left their professionalism at home. Go only if you have lots of money, you are NOT in pain, you have whole lot of time to kill and don't mind telling everyone in the clinic your condition.

Been a regular at this clinic since my neighbors recommended it to me after the male dr helped resolve their injuries and I can tell you the reviews are true. The new counter staff are not only rude but will dismiss your concerns and seem to not have ANY medical knowledge, it is just a mess out front with 3 staff trying to close ONE patient's bill and pickup medicine. The previous 2 full-timers (1 Chi & 1 Malay) could handle the night shift alone so don't know what this circus act is up for. Even when I repeated my symptoms, heard each 3 of the Indian assistants tell the dr COMPLETELY different things. 1 after the other kept switching up the story when I'm feeling so sick already. The slightly older one sarcastically told me "Why didn't you tell the dr just now? Y'all patients always like to last minute." Don't get me started on the dr. Despite my neighbours and I recommending our peers to this clinic as we all live nearby, they all say the dr is late, coming in almost 20 - 30 mins after stated opening hours and making those COVID+ patients wait outside for so long and taking up the whole walkway, potentially furthering the spread. And don't know what the doors are for in the first place, none of them are closed during consult, the one patients walk into and the inner one, I don't need everyone knowing what I'm in for, thank you very much. Drs also like to take their own sweet time consulting, saw an elderly go in with his daughter and took 1.5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous! Spoke to the daughter and was told it was just a review but they were fed so much information that it was basically an overload and they weren't comfortable with the course of action the dr suggested but the dr just kept pushing. Overall, never going back again, not as bad as the 24hrs clinics but if this keeps up, it's pretty much its equivalent.

One of the best care I ever had while visiting a clinic. The doctor is very careful in hearing symptoms , explains the condition very good and details what medicine he is going to give and why. Highly recommended.

Dr.Deepan, thank you for your concern and care for me since 2016, when I was diagnosed with a high level of diabetes. I followed your instructions for taking the proper medication, and today I am able to fully control my diabetes without the need of any medications. As far as I can tell, while seeing a patient, you explain the cause and effect appropriately, including drawing up diagrams to help us visualise and understand the sickness better, and you do your best to treat the patient throughout the examination till they recover. Same as my spine cord degeneration issue under control well. As a doctor, it is right to take time to examine by asking the history and the reasons to see a doctor. So that the doctor can give right treatments with medication for faster recovery. If the medication is not much effective, he can refer to the hospital physician for further treatments.

It was my first time here. Both doctors were caring & explained in detail when you ask them any question. I have known Dr Deepan for a long time as he used to be one of my company doctor. Even from those days , he was always caring & responsible doctor. Many of the company employees like to visit him for his good services .
