I have been under Dr Karmen’s care for breast cancer for a year now and have come to appreciate her as someone who is very kind yet firm and direct, very intelligent yet humble. If she doesn’t have an answer to my question she would just say so. Of course, there has been plenty she has enlightened me on. Because she is passionate, experienced and extremely good at what she does, her clinic is often busy. Still she has on numerous occasions went beyond the call of an oncologist and made time to encourage me, pray for me without me asking and even had someone chat with me when I was feeling down. Dealing with cancer is not a walk in the park, whether it be for the patient, caregivers or even the doctor. I truly believe it takes someone called/ gifted to do what Dr Karmen does, to have difficult recommendations to make and yet have the boldness to make them anyway, someone who sees the bigger picture in life and most of all someone with a big heart and purpose to dedicate years of her life to helping others. I am extremely blessed to have Dr Karmen walk through this journey with me.

I am a breast cancer survivor and I have been with Dr. Wong since 2008. From my experience, Dr. Wong has great medical knowledge and she has always reacted positively towards my sickness. She had given me fantastic advice and medication that helped me very much throughout my cancer journey. She was also very kind and encouraging during my down time.

Dr Wong has been my oncologist since I was first diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer back in 2004. I was less than 30 years old back then and under the healing hands of Dr Wong, I recovered and even managed to have 2 lovely kids few years later. I see Dr Wong on a yearly basis as follow up check and unfortunately, last year, I was diagnosed with cancer again. This time round, Stage 4. It was a devastating moment for me and thought its the end of the world for me. The moment I broke down, it was Dr Wong who embraced me in her arms, holding me tight, praying so hard for me and keep assuring me she will do whatever she can for me. Dr Wong is a compassionate doctor who really feels a lot for her patients. She always ensure I am well taken care of in her best capacity. As I have limited insurance coverage, Dr Wong also step in to help me be it the never ending requests of medical reports and memo from the insurance company or financial workout of the medical expenses. She told me financial should be the last thing in my mind to worry, focus on getting back my health. Dr Wong is more than just a doctor to me. She is like my big sister, taking great care of me. Not only is Dr Wong very experienced and knowledgable, she is firm and decisive on what is the best course of treatment for me. Many a times, while waiting to see Dr Wong, I do chit chat with some other patients and everyone sing praises of Dr Wong for her knowledge, expertise and compassion. It was Dr Wong who walked me out of the darkness in my life (for the 2nd time!) and as you can see, since I can be writing here, I am well on my road of recovery. She simply has a pair of magical healing hands! I can't thank Dr Wong enough for what she have done for me. She always fought hard alongside with me when I am in a fierce battle! She is my best doctor and sister ever!

I am a personal assistant to my Pastor and I love my Pastor as my own mother. She always pour the community with love and grace. Then she suddenly diagnosed with colon cancer.. not just at early stage, but jumped to stage 4 colon cancer! We didn't know what to do, we went to several doctors, including Doctor Karmen Wong (my first impression about her.. she was so thorough, straightforward, and very kind person). I still remember when I was standing at the waiting room, my hands accidentally dropped some ministry brochures. I picked and read the brochures, realizing that Doctor Karmen Wong was also a religious person. I kept that in my heart and prayer. The next following day, we made decision that we should stick with Dr.Karmen Wong. Day by day, my Pastor had treatment and chemotherapy, cycles by cycles and Praise The LORD, she has been healed!.. and now she's back to the ministry activities.. I've been under the care of Dr Karmen Wong since April this year, and have found Dr Wong to be a most experienced oncologist. She is very assured and decisive in prescribing the necessary treatment for my condition, and I know I'm in safe hands each time I see her. Notwithstanding her expertise in her field, she is kind and humble, and shows true concern for me, even praying for me on several occasions. She is ever ready to offer advice whenever I have any questions, and most importantly, she is also ever ready to encourage. I really thank and praise God for leading me to Dr Wong.

My mom was under Dr Wong when she got diagnosed with breast cancer 20 years ago and I also sought treatment with Dr Wong when I got diagnosed with breast cancer. Her calmness and excellent knowledge gave my family and I a lot of courage and confidence to go through my treatment. At times she may seem too direct, blunt and firm but I appreciated her sometimes brutal frankness. Underneath the exterior is an honest doctor with a heart of gold who only wants to do what is right for the patient. She takes the time to answer my questions thoughtfully and encourages me not to give up. She frequently asks about my family and I really appreciate that personal side of her especially knowing that she has a lot of patients under her. I trust her completely as I know that she constantly upgrades her skill with the latest treatments and she also consults other professionals to seek their opinions. She only wants to do what is right for me in the most effectively manner. When we go through difficult journey it is important who journeys with us. I’m glad that I’ve found a doctor who can help and guide me and make this journey less traumatic. Thank you Dr Wong.

Dr Karmen Wong was my oncologist during a difficult phase of my life when I was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She was absolutely God-sent. She's definitely top in the field, she knows the latest treatments available & what was most effective. I could always ask her about any latest medical findings and she would spend the time to explain the pros and cons of each treatment. Because she was a very direct doctor, she often gave the most honest assessment of my medical condition, which I really appreciated, she's not someone who will coat a bitter pill. Her directness also allowed my family to make quick and clear decisions about my treatment, as time was of the essence in my treatment. Praise God, due to her swiftness in controlling the cancer, I recovered way ahead of "schedule". When my cancer shrunk miraculously by my 3rd or 4th chemo, Dr Wong rejoiced with me. And Dr Wong was never afraid of availing her patients to pastoral care during treatment, knowing how fragile her patients may feel during their lowest point. There was always a pastoral team ready to pray with me n to offer comforting words. Dr Wong herself would often just stop in the middle of a diagnosis, and pray over me, when she could sense my fear. I am now completely healed, and I give thanks every day that God had brought Dr Karmen Wong to be my doctor, she's taken such good care of me, not just my cancer, but offering me encouragement to face other aspects of my life, my work, my relationships when it all came crashing down. Without a doubt, I would strongly recommend her as one of the best oncologists around. And I know many other patients who are completely healed and stand by her as being their saviours too!

Dr Karmen Wong is definitely the oncologist to go to. She walks her talk and doesnt shortchange her patients. Very experienced and professional. I like her compassion and passion for her patients. She is very clear in her explanation and despite her busyness she spends time to patiently answer all my questions even the “dumb” ones. Really appreciate her tender loving care. Feel very assured that I am in good hands. Thank God for this wonderful doctor!
