This is not a rating for clinical outcomes. It’s about their reception staff. Frankly I don’t think the customer service deserves one star. I made an appointment for screen for life. I fasted overnight and rearranged my work schedule. 1) When she received my letter, she told me their clinic is not the assigned clinic, and I should go for the ones indicated in the letter. I had searched the screen for life web that I can go for ANY CHAS clinic before I made an appointment there. After complaining to me how I should not be there, she goes on grudgingly to log in to some MOH website to verify if she can take me in. 2) She has difficulty using the MOH system. Slow in data search and entry. She keyed in my husband’s name wrongly, and when I pointed out to her, she blamed it on MOH’s health record. I saw with her own eyes her inaccuracies in keying in data fields (eg Dd-mm-yyyy field, but she keyed in as Dd-mm-yy and hence being rejected and mumbled she can’t find my record) and when I pointed out, she became very defensive. 3) The last straw was she said she could not do the health screening for me cos they don’t have the SFL β€œtube”. This is supposed to be some tube to take the blood that she first said she didn’t procure, then said there isn’t stock. I asked her how long it would take for them to send to the clinic. She said β€œa few days”. And I called them for appointment mid of LAST WEEK. It would have sufficient time for them to prep all the apparatus required for health screening. And she had the nerve to say β€œI do this everyday, ok?” She asked me to book another slot to come down. No thank you. This is by far my absolute worst clinic encounter ever! Poor competencies in ops and customer service. I frankly doubt she is the right trait to be in the healthcare industry.

Not recommended. I have unfortunately seen both the male and female doctor when i was sick and just wished I explored using the other clinics. The doctors weren't very caring or at least pretend to make an effort. The younger female doctor would cut me off when i was describing my symptoms while the older male doctor would be quite condescending. Never had a pleasant experience here.

I have been seeing this doctor since young. I can't deny the fact that the clinic assistant can be a bit harsh in her tone. however, i saw another side of her one day. She is actually a caring person. There was a helper who pushed an old folk sitting on a wheelchair into the clinic. She was very alert and responded quickly by opening the doors and held onto the doors for them to come in. Even when they leave, she did the same. For the doctor, i would say their medication is relatively good. In terms of consultation charges and all, it is reasonable.

The doctor is a very nice and professional man, but the old lady at reception is so rude. First time, I thought she was not in the good mood that day, but later realized she is never in good mood. Sometimes really wanted to tell the doctor he should consider replacing her. Wish she can find her good mood back.

Echoing all the negative reviews here. I went in at 8.45am as they were supposed to be operating from 8.30am. The male doctor walked in about 9.15am and the female doctor only started taking patients slightly after that. Was attended to by the female doctor around 9.30am and was immediately referred to do a swab test because I felt slightly warm the night before (when I started getting runny nose). The warmth went away with sleep as I was back to 36 degrees today. I do understand erring on the side of caution and immediately went to the polyclinic to do the test. However the doctor's attitude and treatment throughout the check up was horrible. She was really rough as well - Notably she yanked the back of my top up to check my breathing without any notice. The receptionist was also uncaring and rude. In comparison, the Outram polyclinic staffs were all extremely professional! This is my 2nd visit, the 1st was similarly unpleasant but I had thought it could've been a bad day. Though they are the only panel clinic nearby and I really didn't want to travel too far when I'm unwell, I'll choose to walk further next time.

Dr Kevin Chua is impatient and unfriendly. The way I have been treated by him was like i owe him a lot of money and it was really unpleasant. I wonder if other patients encounter similar experiences like me before or just because Dr Chua was having a bad day, that's why it happened on me :D

1 receptionist blur and blunt. The other loud and rude. Have come here after about 8 years and their demeanour hasnt changed. Although opening hours is said to be 8.30am expect to wait till 9.45am to visit the doctor. Movement of patients has been extremely inefficient since decades back and one can expect to wait abt 20min.

Something happened here that I find remarkable, and felt the need to post about. For three years I've seen Dr. Chua and for every instance during the first two years the experience was painful. I was made to feel as though I annoyed him, the staff at the front desk were short and cold, leaving me frustrated after each visit. Why did you continue to go there for two years Dane? It was incredibly convenient and accepted by my insurance. Over the past year I have noticed a dramatic improvement to how my interactions are with the staff. They are kind and warm in their greetings and helpful with my questions. Dr. Chua has also softened his tone and touch. I imagine he sees dozens of patients each day and hundreds per week and appload him in his efforts to make the medical experience a positive encounter. They will have my business for the foreseeable future.
