Blackforest Cake - 6.90 SGD - Cake was barely moist (still acceptable) - Barely any cherry filling (only 1 cherry in a large slice) - Chocolate flakes was good - Proportion of cream to cake was not correct ( a little too much cream) Four leaves bakery at Parkway Parade makes a better blackforest cake, more moist, more cherry filling for cheaper at ~4.00 SGD. When I looked at the cake, I knew I was going to be disappointed but I wanted to try their fruit cake so I ordered it anyway. While the serving was generous, the cake was mediocre for the price. Fruit Cake - 6.90 SGD - Cake was slightly richer in flavour than average fruit cakes. - A little dry and crumbly It looked good with a dark golden hue which attracted me to try it. Generous serving but quality not up to par. Bengawan Solo (BS) makes a more value for money fruit cake. BS's fruit cake did not have the same richness in flavour of cake but was more moist and less crumbly. I also preferred the candied fruits used on BS's fruit cake but this might be a personal preference. East Manhattan's fruit cake is equal to ~2x Bengawan Solo fruit cake slices (1.70 SGD/slice for total of 3.40 SGD value) For a sultana rich fruit cake with cherries I would just headover to NTUC Finest (just next door) and get the Scottish import "Walkers" brand for ~11 SGD which is 400g (approx 2.5x the size) which has a richer taste, moist, not crumbly (but way too sweet cause it has too much sultanas). The right ratio of sultanas and candied fruit to cake might be a matter of preference and debate. East Manhattan fruit cake appears to have nuts and varied candied fruit pieces but is poorly executed. I expected better for an establishment that uses premium pricing with rave reviews in the past.

Here are some of the most delicious gluten-free muffins and gluten-free breads in Singapore! And very nice bonuses: when buying three muffins, the fourth one is free!

After Firebake at East Coast Road closed down, I thought I’ll never find dense sourdough in the Katong vicinity anymore. Then by chance, I discovered this little gem of a boutique bakery which makes its breads the way I like - sour, dense and with walnuts..... and at an affordable price to boot! Can’t get enough of them breads here

Really enjoyed their Ondeh Ondeh cake! Was $38 for a decent sized cake, felt that it was super worth it as other places like Malayan Council and HarriAnns are all quite pricey. Also, the staff was really friendly and also was the one who recommended the Ondeh Ondeh cake to us! They also had a bunch of other cakes like Tiramisu, Red Velvet and Strawberry Shortcake. We also managed to get a Happy Birthday sign and candles after we requested for it, unlike what some other reviews here have said. If you're a fan of Ondeh Ondeh and cakes, do give them a try!

Awesome selection of (gluten free) bread. Their cakes and pastries also delicious. Would be great if they offer a seating place and offer drinks, coffee or latte perhaps?

ordered this cake but can’t believe it didn’t came as a whole?! They gave me the doll separately and ask me to insert it myself. what???? only the dress cake is given and actually it doesn’t even look like the pic, it is way flatter irl which doesn’t even look like a skirt. It is purely just the purple cream and didn’t even have the white Pearl decoration seen in the pic. I was utterly shocked and couldn’t even say a word. idk how I’m gonna celebrate tonight’s birthday. Even if I insert the doll myself it’s gonna look way too weird cause there won’t be a “top” only “skirt”. Won’t order from here agn

Great customer service at the counter and via whatsapp. Cake is light, not too sweet and reasonably priced. I don't like fondant so they did a great job. I finally found my cake place! I can't wait for Chinese ny and valentines day and everyone's birthday so I can order more cakes. They also have a daily special, buy 4 get 1free. I have yet to try their sourdough bread but they slice for you too (I saw someone request it)

Friendly staff. Counted around 10 selections of cakes. Soft and yummy with good texture. All cakes are tasty but the price is consider on the high side. Because of the promotion, so it's quite worth, buy 4 free 1. Nice selection of bread. Worth buying
