Ask about the price before you agree to anything. My hair was really damaged before coming in and the hairstylist Jimmy advised on what I could do about my hair. He recommended to get a highlight and persuaded me to get an olaplex treatment as well. I wasn’t too aware of the haircut pricing, so was taken aback during payment. The service is great, welcoming and friendly environment & staff. Took about 4.5hrs in total, of course now I know how to style and better take care of my hair. Not price friendly for students, paid $336 for highlight + colour + hair cut + olaplex treatment. Go if you have the money.

Very unprofessional service, hairdresser was very rough with my hair during washing and colour, as if he was in a rush to complete the job. During the hair wash, he didn't bother trying at all and just let the water into my ears. It truly felt like he doesn't care about the customer's experience, and definitely didn't put in effort at all to be thoughtful in managing his customers - although I would like to think its such a basic thing to do as a hairstylist. Rather poor skill and quality of colouring as the end result of my hair colour was inconsistent. They might have overcharged me as well, prices seem to be randomly charged and not consistent when I was comparing it with a friend who visited before. I'm not sure how they get such questionably good reviews, but I wouldn't suggest coming here. There are definitely much better choices out there.

Great people! Very friendly staff and excellent service. The very first time my friend, Chris, took me here to get a haircut and the service I had, from something as simple as a men’s haircut, was something I had never experienced before! I had one person cutting my hair and another brushing off the cut hair from my forehead with a soft dry washcloth. Incredible. The haircut was phenomenal and their space is beautifully appointed! I would have expected to pay $100 or more for this level of service, expertise and quality, however, the bill was a mere $45! But I would pay double for the experience I got from them. I’ve been going back ever since and look forward to every time I need a haircut! Jimmy is the best! Entire staff is A++ . Keep it up you all!! ??????

Saw a promotion going on advertised on their insta page and decided to give it a try. My first time.. staff are very friendly... Jimmy did my hair and he did a excellent job . He took his time to do my hair and handled my hair very gently. Happy with my results. Tq for the service guys and keep up the good job !

Super happy with the service and final look! I’m not sure why some reviews are so poor because my experience there is superb. Could just be that 1 stylist to avoid? I’ve been to Japanese salons but the final look is not even as nice as what I’ve gotten here at HairLux! Stylists, front counter staff are super friendly and recommended me what would suit my easy, 0 maintenance hair. The bleach job is also done in a way that is easy for my next colour application too! What’s not to love?? The bleach used is also not damaging to my hair. Somehow my hair feels even more rejuvenated than before the bleach was used! For those who mentioned the price is ex, like any salon you go to, pls have some common sense to ask about the price before proceeding with any treatment/service. I’ve asked about mine before proceeding. After looking at the final product, i know very well i am paying for quality. I did only hair colours with olaplex! The colours really lifted my entire look. The lighter colours at my bangs also give it a 空气刘海 (air fringe) look that so many places struggle to do well. Definitely will return again! 10/10 service and quality of hair products used. Hair Stylists and Receptionist (Jimmy, Jane) was all friendly and superb with their service throughout the many hours spent at the salon. Boss Connie is very welcoming and made me feel super comfortable. Love the colour payout on the hair!! Like that it changes with different lightings. 100% recommend ??

This is a very honest and objective review weighing out BOTH appointments i had with them. When I went there, they were very welcoming - especially the receptionist. I shared multiple photos of the bayalage style i wanted to do with my stylist, to which he recommended me an "in between" of bayalage and highlights. He shared photos of such a look he had done for past clients and they looked pretty okay. I said i wouldn't mind it, as long as it can reach that well blended ash blonde look I wanted to achieve based on all the bayalage photos i shared. The service was okay for the most part, stylist was friendly and nice, but when he was putting the dye after the bleaching step, a lot of it got onto my ear lobe. Note that no ear covers were given, neither did the salon use cling wrap. When i asked for a tissue to wipe it away, he said he will wipe everything off later in a shot. I'm bringing this up because 2-3 days later, a pimple formed on 1 of my ear lobes and i'd like to associate it with leaving the hair dye on my ear far longer than it should've been there than to wipe it off promptly after it got in contact with my skin. I was also IG storying my new hair and the whole salon experience, so i was filming videos here and there throughout the appointment. I managed to capture on video the moment when my stylist was washing my hair in a far from gentle manner, and that led to some dye splashing onto my face and eye. He did help me wipe this off promptly, though. I left the salon with decent hair that was darker than expected, to which my stylist said it will fade the more i wash. Within 2 washes, it started fading but revealed a very VERY uneven bleaching. The bleached parts were in chunks, and some faded to an almost greenish grey look than the ash grey look i requested for. I wasn't happy with the outcome at all, especially if you consider the pimple on my ear and that splash of dye onto my face & eye as well. I whatsapped them and gave this honest review and asked for some course correction. The receptionist lady gave me a call 1-2 days later and got me to explain in detail. The resolution was for a more senior stylist to fix my hair but they requested for me to come down to the salon for them to see the situation in person. I made that trip back to the salon and the senior stylist said he could help fix my hair but only 3-4 weeks later after i wash my hair everyday to get rid of the old dye. For the next 3+ weeks i did that and also sent update photos a few days before our eventual appointment to fix my hair. I just wanted to share that my 1st appointment lasted from 11am to 4pm - this also included cutting and styling of the hair after. My 2nd appointment to fix the hair lasted from 11.30am to 5pm without any cutting or styling. I'm bringing this up because the senior stylist i got in my 2nd appointment to fix my hair was a lot more thorough. He also said he specially bought purple shampoo to help with the toning of my now double bleached hair. He sliced my hair more finely when he was bleaching to get me that more blended look i wanted in my bayalage hair, than to have chunks of bleached hair like what happened initially. He also recommended me the right dye to use after bleaching (a more warm colour), in order for me to achieve that ash grey look i wanted after washing a couple times, than dyeing over a blue grey colour (what my previous stylist did, btw) which would end up turning greenish grey (exactly what happened to me... lol). Overall, i'm pretty satisfied with my new hair even though it's extremely dry now after the unnecessary double bleaching that could've been avoided altogether if i had the senior stylist in my very 1st appointment. I won't name who is the initial stylist i got but ladies... if you'd like to go ahead with this salon and do bayalage hair service then please find Alister. Curly hair photo was when i stepped out of my 1st appointment. The straight hair photo was the fixed hair, and now it has faded pretty well too.
