★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always has ample parking lots. Some nice little restaurants. Great for an evening trip to the supermarket as its not too crowded and even has a DIY shop as well. Could do with more variety of eateries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few hotels in Singapore that got balcony, for those who doesn't like to be in the AC sealed room. Super nice area with lots of yoga and gym places, lots of different restaurants and quiet residential neighborhood. No train nearby though, parkway parade mall in 10 mins walking distance. The hotel is old and maintain alright, however once you open the balcony door the room gets crazy condensation and you end up in hammam instead of hotel. We complained about the black mold on the ceiling. The management moved us to another room, which is equally damp and super super humid, floor is slippery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Katong Village or Katong V is a small shopping mall with open air carpark facing the mall.
I love the marinated beef and the side dishes at Yun Ga Traditional Korean Restaurant, level 3. They have lunch special too.
There is also a Japanese Sushi Restaurant and an Artisan Cafe at Level 2 and some other cafes at level 1.
NTUC Finest is at Level 1 and there is a florst shop at the corner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Of the few malls in the area, Katong V is more to our liking. A big Supermarket at the main road enterance, good dining options here. Korean BBQ upstairs and a few cafes & bakeries are located here. For young families, a few enrichment businesses found here too.
