When I brought my guitar to him, I was greeted by his warm and easy going nature. As our discussion on the problem went on, I found him very knowledgeable and experienced in the field: He was aware of the common problems concerning brands of guitar, down to places I never knew mattered, and knew exactly how to fix it. That gave me a lot of assurance that my guitar was in good hands. He offered a great customer feedback loop. When he started on the repair works, he sent me photos of the repair progress and explained the issues which he encountered and how he plans to rectify it. This certainly put my heart at greater ease. But all in all, I think the best part about working with Jacob was that he was passionate about his craft. He comments and advises on how I could best maintain my guitar to make it continue to sound good and incur lesser weathering. He gave me a detailed explanation of the kind of strings that could go well with a Martin guitar and some potential issues with my guitar regarding its comfort for playing. The bridge of my Taylor GS Mini gave way when we attempted to restring. Googled away for guitar repair. Came across Easy Chord Guitar Services with all the amazing feedback. Jacob replied my missed call promptly. Upon assessing my issue, he advised I have a serious issue at hand BUT can be resolved! Phew… ?. Jacob was very meticulous to explain the situation to me, what needs to be done and what he would do to ensure guitar will be as good as new. He was so patient to me as I thought small of the issue (just glue back, what’s the hoo-ha? ?) When I reached, I was surprised he was working from his residence! We spoke at corridor! However, from our conversation, we can sense Jacob’s expertise and his experience. Believe it or not, we left our guitar and deposit all with him! A young man at corridor, someone we hardly knew! How amusing this can be? We waited for sometime as Jacob pleaded to us that he needed to do a proper job. He seems more anxious than us that the Taylor needs to be restored to its former glory. At that moment, it felt as if Jacob is the loving owner of the guitar! When we finally reunited with our guitar, it was indeed like what Jacob promised (and more!). Super great guy. After playing my Yamaha LL6 on and off, I knew that my guitar needed to have its action lowered. A quick google search for a luthier led me to Easy Chord Services. I have to admit, I was curious, as it’s not everyday you’d see a google review page at 5 stars, so I decided to give them a try. And I must say, I was not disappointed at all. On our first meeting, Jacob took the time to inspect the guitar and listened attentively to my main requests. He knew exactly what needed to be done and explained his recommendations clearly. He suggested that given its age I should go for a restring which I had initially overlooked and he even threw in a saddle upgrade to make the acoustics more effortless and rich. Best of all he wasn’t pushy about it which was what made me go for it. That and a leap of faith. So after about a week, I got my guitar back and the results speak for themselves. It was polished to a sheen and Jacob even took the time to tune it, play it to make sure everything sounded accurate and even gave me a crash course in chord playing which I appreciate a lot (the man is hardworking!). He even threw in tips on how to take care and maintain my guitar! TL;DR: If you’re looking for a luthier who’s not only an expert at his craft but dependable and passionate as well, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone else like Jacob in Singapore. Jacob is easy to recommend. Did an awesome job setting up my guitar and adding a new saddle. Would definitely go back to him if I want something done to my guitar.

Jacob is very passionate about his craft. Very knowledgeable professional. I had a Cort guitar in storage for a very long time. Jacob replaces the parts and several other jobs to restore the guitar. The guitar plays well now after the adjustment of the string action. It sounds great! I highly recommend his service.
