one of the oldest stalls in Ang Mo Kio. Established in 1980.

Shop owner is friendly and courteous. Price of yarn is relatively cheap. Bought 10 skeins of acrylic sparkle yarns for only 18 dollars. Better experience than at Golden Dragon, where staff watch you like hawks, thinking you are going to steal.

It has almost everything I need for my crochet projects, from yarns of different colours & sizes, crochet hooks, sewing needles to buttons etc. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The prices of yarns are very reasonable too. I am a loyal customer of this store.

Aside from AliExpress, Elsie is my go to place to get all my craft supplies. Not only it's less expensive, everyone, i mean everyone at Elsie is very warm and friendly. Just ask anyone on duty, even the ahgong, is friendly! You can even ask for recommendation on the project or craft you're working on.

A craft supply and haberdashery shop in the town centre of ang mo kio. Good variety of yarns, crochet and knitting needles, some fabrics, buttons, zippers, beads and more!! Definitely worth a visit if you so not want to travel to city area.

Old school store selling a variety of craft items. Good place to go to if you are looking to buy things for your sewing/crochet and craft projects as their prices are reasonable.

I am super disappointed with Elsie Departmental Store. I literally grew up with this craft shop. Today, I lost $6 but learnt a lesson that they cannot be TRUSTED. Anymore. Period. I bought velcro set a couple of days ago, 20mm 5m labelled as a set. The elderly auntie who sold it to me still asked me if I wanted both sides because the one I picked has both sides. I paid n forgot about it for a couple of days. Today I took it out wanting to fix stuff. But it had only one side of the velcro tape, without the hook side. Full of confidence, I told my husband that I'll go downstairs and get it changed because this shop is reliable and longstanding. I had a skirmish with the owner, I think. Older lady not elderly. She was rude n fault-finding with the older folks. She knew there was a mistake in the packing (2m not 5m); there was only one side (not both side as a set). She ignored me, raising her voice at no one in particular (I don't know if she realised or deliberate). I asked her if I can get what I need and she can troubleshoot what has gone wrong later. Here was when she said cannot, n implied that it is possible customer did something to the label. I asked for the correct set, both sides. N a refund, bec 20mm 2metres is just around $2.60 or $2.80, not the $6 I paid. She said I bought it days ago, and I agreed on the transaction, and the size of package is obviously not 5m and I bought it anyway. I said, this is not my regular business nad not an item I buy often, how am I supposed to know. And customer don't have a right to change mind? She then asked for receipt. Hahahaha, she wins, I no longer have receipt. That's when I told her, she very cartoon - insist on yelling at her staff, accusing her customer, over that small about of money. I left, refusing her offer of the other side of the tape without refund. I can afford to lose $6. She lost one customer. That's very strange, ?30 odd years of business and she behaves this way. I told her I will put this on the Internet. She said to me " customer 要这么样讲，都有" funny, the lemon law in Singapore allows 6 months, even for huge items like cars to be dealt with, if there are defects. The one-sided velcro, misrepresented and sold to me, too cheap to be covered.

Need cross stitch items for my girl, came over here. We can find all sorts of handicraft items here. Haven't step in for a while. The staff are family orientated, they are nice are heart warming people. Found the thing we wanted, saw knitting course going on too. Opening hours 10.30am to 8pm daily
