★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noodle was a tad over cooked and not springy. Tasted rather bland with just a few slices of char siew and Chye sim. Was wondering what the hype was about this noodle shop until I decided to add the chilli sauce. And wow, this noodle was magically transformed! Chilli sauce was the real star and immediately elevated the noodles to a higher level. Final verdict - noodle w/o chilli, 3 stars. Noodle w chilli- 5 stars. Overall- 4 stars.

This is the united square branch. I thought they only had issues with the Yishun branch but standard of hygiene needs to improve. This is gross

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like Wantan mee, Eng’s new outlet is now open at United Square on Thomson Road. They are definitely expanding their outlet locations. Consistent noodles and always a convenient noodle meal. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kudos to the team for being opened even on 3rd day of Chinese New Year. Was walking around looking for dinner options, and many other places were closed except for them! The few hardworking crew, welcoming you for CNY, and making you some hot noodles. Without a moment of hesitation, I upsized my wanton noodles, and got the wanton soup. The takeaway items were smelling so good in the car on the ride home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update: closed permanently. Poor service attitude rude. Talked to you as if you owe them a living. No matter how I occasionally crave for it, I will never walk in again. You will just keep losing customers who brings you income. Wish you good luck.
Update: closed down in April 2022, and it's not surprising.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wantan mee (dry) ($6.50 for large) - The noodle texture, flavour and chilli, and the 5 wantons were good. The char siew slices, cai xin, and broth were pleasant enough.
It’s a kiosk on the outside of United Square with some tables in front of it.
