Hoshino Coffee @ United Square - 101 Thomson Rd

Used to go for dinner after my kids’ tuition class, it was fairly ok but convenient after all; but today their waitress gave us the lowest level of service ever. First kept us waiting outside for 5 minutes while 5 pm is not at all peak hour, then she brought me the menu and said we must order first before going inside for seating; after I made the order, she just kept us wait outside ignored, what kind of arrogant service it is? Never go back again

Same decor as other Hoshino branch. Interior dark, dimly litted and cozy :) Food was good. Their eggs are done well as always. But the dishes weren't warm when served.

We queued for around 25 mins on a Saturday afternoon. Started queuing around 11.50am. Despite the long queue, the place was quite empty on the inside and it was clear they were understaffed. Once seated, we ordered and the food was served considerably quick. So it was actually an enjoyable experience once seated. Food wise, I had the mentaiko carbonara, which was not too bad but made me feel that there was a lack of meat and vege that made it just unsatisfying. On the other hand, the tomato risotto omu rice was very good. The egg was very very fluffy and it mixed well with the tomato risotto and the fresh chunks of prawns. If there's a dish to try, this is it. Service wise, the staff were polite, and prompt to our requests etc. Full stars for the staff as they were very professional even tho I felt they were understaffed. Price wise, I would say that they are on the expensive side especially for their coffee. The hoshino coffee which is basically nicer tasting kopi o, was priced at 6 dollars. The only good thing is the tomato omu rice honestly. Even their desserts are not that good and I rather have my desserts elsewhere. Would give 5 stars if the food is more tasty.

First time trying their brunch with beef, omelette , salad, hashbrown and a smaller size pancake. Beef and omelette is cooked well and is very tasty. However the pancake seems to be a little drier than usual. I wonder is it due to the smaller size. Overall is a delish meal.

Pictures oversold the the place . One person ordered the the breakfast set took 20 mins to be cooked. Pancake is rather dense not the light n fluffy type. Service is not great , see dishes piling up when we finished .

The food is fantastic the service is prompt. The ambiance is very nice. The quality of all of the food that we tasted was wonderful. The only issue I have is that the price unfortunately means that we won't be able to visit this location very often.

I love this place in regards to certain part of the restaurant. It transport you to a luxurious cabin on board certain train in Japan. Other than that the wallet damage is as good as it's food . Hoshino food always has its standard except Jewel . A hearty meal usually set you around 70 SGD. This place omelette rice needs improvement. I thought I was having glutinous rice with fried eggs. Overall nice decor decent food . Waiting time average half an hour on weekends.

Ambience 5/5 Food 4/5 Price 3/5 Customer service 2/5 Overall 3/5 Relaxing feels when seated within the restaurant. The souffle pancake is nice. Crispy on the outside and fluffy within. There is also a rich milky taste to it. Had the decaffeinated coffee, it's mediocre. A very small amount of milk came with it, had to request for more milk. Price is average and acceptable. Customer service was bad though. Stood around the entrance for some time, with the cashier aware I was waiting for seats, but wasn't attended to. Was eventually seated by another staff after walking straight into the restaurant. May return for the souffle pancake if I'm around this area with craving for it. Otherwise will likely give this place a miss.
