Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles - 273 Bukit Batok East Ave 4

The noodles and fishballs are really nice, but be prepared to encounter rude service by the uncle cooking the noodles. He is often smoking near the stall and a couple of times, he would ask me to wait for him to finish before coming back to the stall. Again, I must emphasise that the noodles are of good standards but I wish the service was better. All in all, it’s worth a try

The noodle was a tad too mushy for my liking but the seasoning was top notch. Mixture of ketchup, chili, vinegar and topped with crisp pork lard. Accompanied with 4 fish dumplings of a good size. $4.

With the recent renovation prices went up $1-$1.5. The noodles is still good though.

Ordered for their noodles via FP. To my horror, everything tasted like mothballs! Ordered a side of just fishcake, the supposedly amazing fishcake with a squeeze of lime. To my horror the fishcake tasted like it was made with mothballs! A quick taste of the soups that had fishcakes in it also reeled in similar results, everything tasted like it had mothballs in it, albeit less severe than just eating the fishcake direct. I then tried the soup without any fishcakes, aka their 5+5 mixed soup bowl and there wasnt any mothball taste, at least none discerning enough to raise eyebrows. FP refunded me immediately but I have no way to immediately reach out to the restaurant to stop their sale and prevent further damage to customers. Extremely turned off by the experience and needless to say I will no longer patronise the brand.

Usually i go eat at the main stall at Toa payoh lor 7. Since i am around this area decided to give this branch a try. Noodles abit over cooked. Chilli sauce is not bad, comes with pork lard. Fishballs are fresh and soup is tasty. They have more variety selection here. Prices abit steep. Overall, worth eating.

Used to patronize their ION outlet but glad that there is one now nearer to home. Their dry noodle are polarising as I myself took quite a while to appreciate their over saucy style and this outlet pretty much stick to this tradition. Their fish cake is the highlight but they are not included in their noodle as you have to order it alacarte. In fact, apart from fishball all other ingredients that are expected from a fishball noodle are all not included but have to order separately, at additional cost. Setting the unfriendly pricing aside, they are also not small group friendly, how would they expect a single diner or even a group of two be willing to part with $8 for a fish dumplings soup especially when they are already having the noodle.

This is one of my favorite traditional fishball noodle stall that I always patronize. When the respective coffee shop started renovation, I was wondering will I lost my favorite fishball noodle for good. But to my surprise, they continue to operate after the 2 months of renovation. Tasted and still maintaining it's standard. Their fishball is fresh and bouncy. Their noodle cook to perfection. Not over cooked. And their soup taste like the traditional fishball soup... Very nostalgic. I always have their chilli and ketchup noodle dry. Comparing with Thye Hong almost same same... They Hong is still the best. Why the 3 star? After the renovation, the price had greatly increase. You can see from my photo, for their trade mark noodle it cost $6.20. It used to cost $4.70. So now it is more like a treat for me rather than a normal breakfast meal. So sad...

Not the first time eating Lixin noodles but this my first time eating from this stall. The noodle styles are the same but this stall gives a lot of pork lard. ? Their fish dumpling are very QQ chewy too! Yum!
