★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's like zhui kway was given dark sauce fried w egg. The texture was too 'watery' and though I love garlic, it was almost like that's the only flavour. The good thing was uncle was courteous and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manned by a friendly uncle, this no name stall - Fried Carrot Cake has been here for over 30 years. His carrot cake is really the traditional, old school type which is very different from those sold elsewhere. His carrot cake were all handmade. The black fried carrot cake had an eggy texture, soft with a sweet aftertaste. Do remember to ask the uncle to add some chilli as the chilli here, packed a punch too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most salty carrot cake I’ve ever had in my life! The $3 portion was small with very little egg. The shocker was the salt. My husband and I took one mouth and couldn’t eat anymore. We threw the rest (we bought 2 plates!) away. Such a waste of money but it is worse eating it as our bodies will suffer.
