Do not recommend the Garmin Vivofit Jr 2. I bought it on January 11, 2020 from Amazon.com and it stopped working on July 28, 2020. Called up Garmin Singapore, was told curtly there is no warranty for this unit as it was not purchased in SG. This is BS. This fitness tracker is a garmin product regardless of purchase location and since they are a garmin company, they should honor the warranty. Instead, they wanted to charge me $71 for "handling fee". Will not be purchasing another Garmin product ever!

Long standing Garmin supporter and customer- with numerous high end products purchased dating back over a decade. Terrible aftermarket support on a recent cadence sensor purchase, that broke during install. Garmin classified this as "physical damage", and would not provide a replacement. Had to purchase a new unit. I cringe at the thought on how Garmin management / support would respond to my query should I run into issues on my existing devices. These include two Fenix watches, Neo Tacx 2T, Garmin Edge, among others. Buyer beware. Good devices, terrible support.

Sent my Forerunner 245 to Mojito Redemption in Plaza Singapura on 12 January 2020. This service centre was launched in July 2019. I was told that there will be 4-6 weeks of downtime. Reason being they do not have stock for 1-1 exchange. As such, it will be sent to Taiwan. FR245 of 8 months; heart rate and GPS became inaccurate (highly elevated and cannot pinpoint GPS location). Never dropped. I do wash it with running water after runs. 2 months later (12 March 2020) there was no updates from Mojito. I called Mojito and was told they have transferred all existing service requests to Convergent Systems as they cannot handle the workload (they have other services as well). I was directed to Convergent, who informed that they are also under heavy pressure from many other customers as well. I did not buy a fitness watch for it to spend months in repair (looking at the way this is heading). Product durability and reliability is quite disappointing. Service quality is an utter failure. Update- Garmin has replaced my watch swiftly.

It’s a great running watch no doubt. But the after service here in Singapore is really poor. A white blemish (which I am told is quite common) showed up on my Forerunner 245 barely a month after purchase and I dropped by Mojito Redemption center for an exchange. It’s been 4 months since and the Mojito staff has no idea when a replacement will arrive. Update - Garmin responded very promptly and routed me to Convergent Systems@UBI. I received a replacement within the day. Great service Convergent Systems. Thank you!
