We engaged Geddit on or around Nov 2017 to redesign our e-commerce website and admin system. Communication was clear and great at the start. We have also made full payment to their firm when the project started. The website was first delivered around May 2018 due to some delays and their change in management. When we had a look at the website, we were shocked that there were so many issues. Many of the features discussed either did not work properly or were missing. The website that was delivered was not functional and lacked thought and professionalism. It was a painful and time-consuming process to uncover issues and work out solutions (that was within budget) to fix them. We had very little resources left to fix those issues and spent the past 1.5 years going back and forth with their development team trying our best to salvage the website. It’s just an e-commerce website but it was our worst nightmare. The project manager from their outsourced development team often ignored our messages and took weeks to fix the issues raised. Some simple issues took multiple attempts to get it right. There is always something wrong. Till date we have paid around $20,000 to both UX firm and their outsourced development team. Until now October 2019, the website is still incomplete and the project manager is still ignoring us, most of the time, he takes weeks to reply our whatsapp / emails. I would not recommend that you engage this agency. - Our reply to their response - Thank you for responding to our feedback, however it’s already been 7 months. 1.) We signed up the initial contract with your company and Abdul Rafiq, who is one of the bosses in your company. Please correct me if I am wrong. Can you confirm that Abdul Rafiq spearheaded all communication in this project? The answer is no and your company breached that agreement. Before the commencement of the development stage, your company outsourced works to a poor quality sub vendor, Ellipsonic. As the project manager, you did not ensure if the work delivered was even usable. We also wish to highlight that the sub vendor showed no interest in our project, even a simple question will take him days or weeks to reply. 2.) We agreed that the initial designing phase was good, but the development stage was in total failure. What is the point if the website is a failure? The bottom line of your company is not our concern. We agreed on the project fees and scope. Such outsourced development arrangement (to India) was not made known to us in advance upon signing of contract. If this were made known, we would not agree to proceed with your company. We signed the initial contract and paid in full to Geddit Right, so we expect your company to complete it. 3.) We made full initial payment to your company expecting a complete site that worked as specified and documented. Did we have a choice? We placed our trust in your company and not your sub vendor. You merely informed us but did not seek our consent on this matter. 4.) Thank you for acknowledging and agree that your sub vendor is of poor standards. Despite several complains from us, you did not react, at times claimed that this is your usual sub vendor and usually fine. What is worse is that Rafiq as one of the bosses of Geddit Right, at several times ignored our complains and did not take another further action, such as changing sub vendor to complete the works. You did not fulfil your role, cannot be bothered with the project status, expect your client to tolerate and accept such poor performance due to your poor selection of sub vendor. 5.) The scope of expansion is minimal and most of that was for fixing issues that was raised up from the start of the project, please do not use it as an excuse. 6.) Your “truly regret” in making the recommendation did not help us in anyway. We have paid about $17,000 for an ecommerce website and after 2 years, the website was a failure and was not put in use. 7.) Lastly, an advice to everyone, please think twice if you wish to engage Geddit Right for any works.
