Saw recommendation by famous influencer and went ahead. Very disappointed with the stingray. Overcooked, dried and hard. They should not serve it when its so overcooked.

Sambal no kick and the stingray is not fresh at all! Shouldn’t have trusted miss tamchiak’s food recommendation

Whoever blogged about this stall recommending their Stingray must have eaten rubbish without realizing. Cold, low quality rice and rubbery meat. Maybe chef is underpaid. No passion at all. Luckily didn't order any other dishes. Skip this stall. They won't survive.

Try their stingray. No much surprises. Chinchalo give only a bit. Stingray small portion for $12.white rice on styloform plate for $1.Dont hv the woh hei as stated. Not worth the price.

Place our order for sting ray, sambal sotong, fried rice, and kang kong. Everything came very quickly and piping hot! Sotong is very well seasoned and so tender. Sting ray portion huge and slathered with sambal. Kang kong portion is also huge. Will return again and reorder other stuff.

Nowadays there's lesser and lesser places serving lovely grilled stingray with sambal sauce. Especially in town if you are after some great beer going food and a lively hawker atmosphere. Guan Kee's stingray is fresh, juicy and the sambal is aromatic and flavourful. Edges of the stingray is grilled to a lovely char that you can actually eat up all the crispy bones. Serving portion is great and they serve the dish up with plenty of chinchalok. Old school charcoal fragrant and a must try. Only gripe is avoid weekends dinner time or you might have to wait up to an hour for your stringray
