Hai Kee Soy Sauce Chicken Rice (322 Sumang Walk) - 322 Sumang Walk

Should have tried their chicken as branded on their signboard. Roasted meat doesn't impress me but first time eating it served in bowl, new experience.

They got the usual "white" chicken and the "Soya" chicken. I have only tried the "soya" chicken. Taste quite good. But portions is abit small compared to other chicken rice stalls around the area. May not be enough for big eaters

Dishes still maintain the flavour since opening. Would recommend if you're a meat lover. Also have interesting twists on some local dishes like the mentaiko char siew. Prices are still affordable and portion size is good

Bought this last Thursday, 2nd time eating but this time it tasted especially salty. Rice was salty, ginger scallion just tasted like salt. Hope the standard didn’t drop permanently?

Half soy chicken, medium roasted pork, medium char siew. Small vege. This is good for almost 3-4 person. Chicken is soft and well marinated, char siew and roast pork taste good as well, forgot to ask for lean meat, got the fatty ones. Rice is just nice to my liking, not mushy. Overall is delicious, slightly pricey but will return ? Oh and I like the chili!

The mentaiko char siew is delicious! The meat is soft, fatty and well caramelised. The portions are not big and it’s $5, but the taste makes up for it!

Update May 2021 Added New Photo Well well this time round the Char Siew and the Roasted Pork is even Better ! ;-) Especially the Char Siew meat is much Leaner and very delicious....Now i understand why sometimes before 5pm it was Sold Out... The Roast Pork is very Good too ! Lean Meat with Crispy Skin and Tasty... Review for the month of May 2021...New Roasted Stall @ Sumang Walk....Interesting that the previous Roasted stall did not continue. Anyway this Hai Kee looks Good. So this is my first time ordering. Order Char Siew, Roasted Pork and the Soy Sauce Oil Chicken. All 3 items are very Delicious. The Roasted Pork is NOT fatty. The Char Siew unfortunately is about 50% fatty...Maybe due to the meat use was Three Layers of Meat (Pork Belly). Anyway the Char Siew is Well Marinated ;-) I wish the Char Siew Meat could be leaner. The oil rice is Good, Fragrant and NOT oily. The Chili is okay. Oh the Soy Sauce Oil Chicken Meat is Tender.... Overall i rate 4 stars. In my Honest Opinion this Roasted stall currently i feel that it is one of the BEST in Punggol Area ! :-)

This is probably the second time eating at Hai Kee - the first one was at Viva Biz Park@Chai Chee. I quite enjoyed the food the last time so decided to try again when I see one here at this coffee shop. The duo meat rice served in a bowl is really nice. The char siew is tender and charred at the side; the roast pork skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. Paired with the rice that is flavoured but not too oily, it feels like a Japanese pork bowl but with a Singapore local twist. Well done.
